Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fred Very pleased with our new grill
My wife and I are not big grillers, so it was a little difficult to figure out our grilling needs. We liked the idea of an electric grill to avoid any hassles with propane. We've only been using this for about three weeks, but everything we've cooked has come out very nicely. Some of the best tasting fish and chicken and grilled veggies have come off of this thing. It's so easy to use. Plug it in and turn it on and let it warm up. We did find as others have that when the grill is full, say of salmon and veggies, it takes a while to heat back up and cook. But just factor in a little longer cooking time. For a couple of chicken breasts and some grilled zuchini this thing is quite speedy. Assembly was no problem. Took about a half an hour or so. Time will tell how this grill holds up, but so far it's made our summer evenings in the patio lots of fun.

I just bought this electric bbq, I have not used it yet. The reason for the purchase was due to not being allowed to use propane, gas, or charcoal bbq's in the condominium. I'm skeptical because I've always believed to get that authentic bbq taste your going to need a propane or charcoal bbq.
I'm not sure what to expect but needless to say the reviews, and ratings on this model, based on performance, quality, ect were fairly high. A normal propane bbq isn't an option so this is the next best thing.
I will say for the price, features, and my purposes so far I give it top marks. I doubt I'll be disappointed in the results.

Nice size grill for a small family. But my electric version has big drawbacks, it's never gotten up past 525 degrees for one and as soon as you open it the heat drops close to 100 degrees or better. Even when you open the lid for a very short time. It takes way to long to regain the lost heat and the unit isn't really deep enough to use a beer can stand. It does however make foods juicer and way better tasting. Chicken, steaks and burgers are good but forget about searing both sides of your meats. I do like the way it cooks to a point, just wish Char-Broil would workout the loss of heat issues and deepen it a bit.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fullmoon Just OK, But saves TON's on fuel cost!
I have owned this grill for over 2 years and the handle broke off on me within the 1st year (it's made of cast plastic material and may have been compromised due to the elements of outdoors-they should consider an aluminum alternative).
The electric element takes a while to heat up fully to 450-500 but is totally worth the wait. This Grill has made the best steak and burgers that I have cooked on a grill in quite some time. Using the sear and flip method of cooking meat you will find that this grill can also be efficient in cooking time also; no 45 min wait for charcoal or aftertaste of PNG.
Cleaning this grill is not the easiest when you have to consider cleaning under the element. Creative tools are available, but it would be more convenient if the element was able to be removed (plug and play style).
Finally, the only other thing that this grill is missing is a better plug managment system. The plug needs to be stretched to the max (36") and usually ends up under the grill when not in use. It could use a better alternative.
