This is a really great grill to have if you don't need a large propane gas grill. We have this on our deck and it is perfect. It is bigger than our last electric grill. I really like the warming shelf above. This came in handy when I grilled chicken on the grate, and the veggies were done. To keep them warm while the chicken finished, I just put the veggies on the skewer on the top and they stayed warm. I would recommend spraying the grate with non-stick cooking spray as suggested in the directions. I forgot to beforehand and the chicken did stick a bit at first. It also would have made it easier to clean afterwards.
Definetly enjoying this electric, easy to use grill.

My apartment won't allow for charcoal or gas grills so I did a little research and purchased this grill. I put it together in a little less than 2 hours while watching college football. I had no problem with it, within 15 minutes it was completely heated up and cooked my steaks perfectly. As it says in the instructions keep the lid closed, after the first opening it lost around 100 degrees and after opening several more times stayed around 500. Leave on to help burn off the excess and then use a brass not steel brush to clean the grill.
Besides that it gives directions on adding wood chips. So far this grill has worked out perfect for me since I am unable to use gas or coal.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tiggs1 great little grill except
I really like this grill except:
(1.) If you Open the hood the temp drops considerably.
(2.) We had a previous model from Char-Broil that had another shelf below the burner with Bricketts on it. That really helped with heat loss. I was wondering if there was a something like that I could get for this model.
(3.) You really shouldn't use an extension cord with this grill because a longer cord will affect the amperage which affects the maximum temp.
(4.) You should plug this or any electric grill into a circuit that doesn't have much else plugged into it or you will trip circuit breakers. I have a dedicated circuit that only goes to the area of the grill.

I bought this with high expectations based on the reviews. I found however that there are a few things that make this less than stellar.
There is only a single circular electric coil that surrounds the bowl. It isn't alot of heat to cook such a large area. The coil is not fastened down on the part that doesn't come out of the grill placing excess wear on the coil mount.
Also, to clean this, means you will have to work around the coil that is not attached very well and risk bending or breaking it off.
The main complaint is that there isn't much heat for the decent sized grilling surface. If you open the cover, it takes a long time to recover. And you need to warm it up for about 20 minutes and leave it on for another 20 minutes to burn off some of the grease.
I love the round design, space saving, and cool looking. But as far as effectiveness as a griller, I'd say this needs some big improvements to the amount of coil (heat) and the way the coil is simply dangling inside the bowl.
This uses alot of electricity, similar to a hair dryer running at full tilt.....so it won't be friendly on the electric bill either.

This is our second Patio Electric Grill. This one heats more quickly and gets hotter than the first one. We use it two to three times a week and are very happy with it. The only thing I liked better about the first one was the actual grill. It was much easier to remove to clean since it was just a normal grill and had handles. This one is much different. It has very small spaces so it is quite difficult to clean. It is also hard to lift out and to replace. But, I will trade that for the even cooking. Just be prepared to smash your finger now and then. The temperature insert is much better made on this one. I hope that it will last a long time. We have had heat as high as 550 and do not even set it on 5. A Lawn and leaf bag covers it perfectly for storage. We cook steaks, tuna, salmon, shrimp and also grill vegetables. It has been great for all.

I ordered this grill for my Son-in-Laws return from Afghanistan. It is much more sturdy than my old
electric charbroil. It looks good and it cooks good.
Have grilled Steak and chicken breast so far this week and both were excellent. Also; it is easy to clean.
So far; I am rating this product excellent.

Had an old Charbroil electric for over 10 years and it was great. Got the new infra one and find it does not heat to max for at least 20 minutes and then when open to place meat on the temp drops and it takes forever to cook. Am surprised also that the max temp on thermometer is only 550. Really not happy with this new version. Loved my old one but this one just does not to the job.

Wow! We love this grill! My husband put it together, no missing parts, and fairly easy to assemble. It heats up quickly, cooks the food to perfection! First time out we grilled marinated pork chops, seasoned thickly sliced sweet and white potatoes,, onions. I rubbed seasoning and olive oil on the veggies. Cooked much quicker than we expected. Prior to first use, we followed directions and turned it on for 15 minutes, to cook off any oil during manufacturing. Had a gas grill, but the no fuss, and ease of this is great for our live style. Cleans up well too. Bravo Bistro!!
