Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Burgereater Flaws in the design of the disassembled product
Once assembled, the grill worked great. However, the manual is not very clear and the disassembled product has some flaws. For instance, the wheels have come with their plastic cap attached, but one must secure each wheel on the axle with a clip. To be able to secure the wheel, the cap has to be removed. The cap has some plastic bolts that snap into the wheel, and you risk breaking the cap when you try to remove the cap. Given the time it takes to remove the cap without breaking it, the grill should come free of charge. Also, one of the parts came broken and the manufacturer wants the customer to pay for shipping the replacement part.

I bought this grill 2 months ago and although I had reservations about an electric grill I have been pleasantly surprised.
Although as some people say the temperature drops when you open the lid I have not any problems cooking on this grill, nice grill marks, the BBQ flavour equals that of a propane BBQ.
One very important piece a of advice is to make sure you have an adequate extension cord if using one. I used the 16 gauge cord that I had, 2 things occurred. First the temperature wouldn't go above 400f, second the cord got dangerously hot!
I then bought a 12 gauge with much better results, temperature now reaches 550f.
I would highly recommend this grill for those that have gas or charcoal restrictions.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by buckeyegirl nice grill but nothing to rave about
Cons:Not as sturdy as expected. Only had 2 months and paint is wearing off of front of base (not from moving -- grill is stationary). Cord is too short. Cools very quickly when opened (not great for roasting marshmallows, unlike my old charcoal grill).
Pros: Cooks well and quickly. Haven't noticed any hot spots. Nice to be able control temp. Clean up is easy. Burn off food at end of the meal. If any thing left after, I take off the grate, brush it with soapy water and rinse in sink (small enough to just fit), air dry and replace. Nice not to have clean up coal ash or replace propane tank.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mc13 This electric grill is a great size to have.
This is a really great grill to have if you don't need a large propane gas grill. We have this on our deck and it is perfect. It is bigger than our last electric grill. I really like the warming shelf above. This came in handy when I grilled chicken on the grate, and the veggies were done. To keep them warm while the chicken finished, I just put the veggies on the skewer on the top and they stayed warm. I would recommend spraying the grate with non-stick cooking spray as suggested in the directions. I forgot to beforehand and the chicken did stick a bit at first. It also would have made it easier to clean afterwards.
Definetly enjoying this electric, easy to use grill.

I bought this on sale three years ago with great expectations and for the most part, am greatly disappointed. It takes forever to heat up to high temps. and as soon as the lid is opened to place food on the grill it cools down so food is literally being baked rather than "grilled" because, again, it takes too long to reach that desired grilling temperature. It's a bear to clean even using commercial oven cleaners. It can be used indoors but who would want to put up with the smoke & odors inside the house. Conversely, this grill cannot be used in winter in areas in the U. S. unless you live in the desert because you'd never get it to a grilling temperature. I tried selling my grill twice on Craig's list with no takers. I could probably get rid of it by offering it for free!

My apartment won't allow for charcoal or gas grills so I did a little research and purchased this grill. I put it together in a little less than 2 hours while watching college football. I had no problem with it, within 15 minutes it was completely heated up and cooked my steaks perfectly. As it says in the instructions keep the lid closed, after the first opening it lost around 100 degrees and after opening several more times stayed around 500. Leave on to help burn off the excess and then use a brass not steel brush to clean the grill.
Besides that it gives directions on adding wood chips. So far this grill has worked out perfect for me since I am unable to use gas or coal.

I am disappointed in the performance of this grill. We have had a T-36D infrared grill for several years and absolutely love it. I bought this small electric grill to keep at our vacation home because I didn't want to deal with propane there, but wanted the infrared technology. Big mistake. I should have bought the propane version. This grill takes 15 minutes to get up to temperature, which would be fine. But, every time I open the grill to turn meat the temperature drops way off and then slowly rebuilds when the lid is closed. Start to finish, getting the grill hot and then cooking, even a package of hot dogs takes 40-45 minutes grill. I always use it with the temperature controller set to maximum.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sheff Surprised about the heat.
Really surprised at it's ability to get searing hot, had lower expectations. Doesn't use a grate, but instead a corrugated pan with little holes in it for grease drainage. The so-called "Tru-infrared" doesn't infrared the meat, but rather it infrareds the corrugated pan from a couple of inches away underneath, making it really hot. Can sear the meat far better than expected, and gives great grill marks. 550 degree thermometer on the lid is no joke, it does get there, but cools off instantly when you open it. Just keep it shut as much as possible. Small warming rack can be used for smoking, put wet wood chips directly on corrugated pan, rack keeps meat from burning, use thermostat to keep it from being an oven. Very surprised and happy with it.
