Can the Grill be assembled before shipping

Is it possible to have the grill fully assembled then shipped?
Asked by: Kiah
Home Depot customer service called me when the grill arrived at their location and offered for their assembly team to put it together, free of charge. I didn't take them up on the offer since it was a gift and I wanted to make sure he liked it first.

Customer Reviews

Triple Function Propane Gas/Charcoal Grill with Side Burner is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 108.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I purchased this grill and for the price I paid, I thought it would last longer than it did I grill about 3-4 times a week and this grill rusted out on the bottom so quick.. i was very disappointed in it..Since this grill i have purchased another 5 burner char broil and have had the same problem with the bottom rusting out.. I just wish that the manufactor would build something that would last more than the 2 yrs I get out of a grill. I keep them covered under a covered patio so it is not sitting out in the weather without protection .. great concept but need to reinforce the bottom

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good while it lasted My sons bought me this as a late father's day gift (with help from their grandfather). I got it in July 2013. I've given it two stars, because it it was good while it lasted. I live in the Midwest and we have harsh winters. This grill was moved into the garage during the winter and was covered for just about every occasion it wasn't in use. However, during the first winter i moved it, the bottom shelf bent and has made rolling this beast around extremely difficult , as it changed the way 2 of the wheels were positioned in relation to the deck. Overall, the top half felt sturdily built, but the legs, the charcoal tray, the ash tray and the grease tray were just flimsy. By the end of the second summer the charcoal side was almost useless. The features were great - being able to adjust the height of the charcoal pan up and down - but it was cheap. The heat warped the entire pan and I couldn't bend it back. The coating inside the lids began to peel and crack as well. At the end of the 2013 grilling season I cleaned it thoroughly and I put my grill away. The 2014 grill season was mostly ok. I dealt with the bent tray and the bent bottom. But the cracked and peeling coating inside was getting worse. The burners on one side began to rust. I cleaned the inside and found more rust. Last grilling season - 2015 - was the last. By the end of 2015, both sides had begun to get cancerous rust. The bottom part of the gas side was crumbling and is trashed. The charcoal side was good for one last grill - and then I bought a portable charcoal grill to supplement. The grill was immovable without picking it up and there is no easy way to do that. The side "wings" are not load bearing. Why am I writing this review now? Because I need a new grill and I was frustrated that this grill cost as much as it did and lasted a whopping 2.5 grilling seasons. I knew I would need a new one - but was hoping I could get through one more year. I've been shopping around, reading reviews and for the same money I can get a grill that consistently lasts upwards of 10 years!! Not just online reports, and reviews but from grillers i know. I wanted to love this grill - it's a gift from my boys. But in the end, I have to say - STAY AWAY. I love the memories we made, but it's time to replace it and it won't be another Char-broil. The cost per year of ownership was terrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A awesome Grill/Smoker We purchased this Charbroil to replace and upgrade from our previous Charbroil "Big Easy" After approx 10 yrs of use I burnt the cooking elements in half and being from Texas I wanted to be able to smoke Briskets as well as have a fast cooking grill for those lazy days. The assembly took about 3 hrs with very easy instructions. The height is prefect for me with a bad back. My friends all love the appearance, quality and taste of the food from this Grill. I would recommend this Grill/Smoker to anyone that loves to cook outside any time of the year. Thank You Charbroil for another super Grill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wasted money Bought this grill about 2 years ago, the bottom has rusted out as well as the tents. The thin metal and paint couldn't hold up to the occasional flare ups you get when cooking hamburgers. Thought it would of lasted longer but I definetely wouldn't buy it again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Hold Up! The charcoal combo grill is a great idea, but the gas tents wear out in no time and the charcoal ash pan rust though really fast. I will not recommend buying the combo, if you want gas by gas or charcoal buy charcoal. It is not good together at all. My doors fell off and the rollers wore out fast and the whole bottom came apart. I have it on the patio with a Char-grill cover over it, so don't tell me I don't take care of it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Internal parts fo not last I bought this grill a year and a half ago and it was cooking well. The heat shield rotted out on the bottom that protects the propane tank. All four grates are disintegrating as are the caps above the burners on the propane side. I have alternated using both the gas and charcoal side so it would seem like it should last longer. By the time I replace all these parts, it would be half the cost of a new grill. The exterior still looks new. This is the second grill that I had to replace parts on in just over a year and a half.
