Wireless Remote Thermometer is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only used 5x's but it's all that I expected... I'm happy. I read aaaa-llllot about people having problem syncing, but with good batteries and making sure I always turning on the [emphasis] RECEIVER *FIRST* I have had zero issues syncing the two units.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful equipment This thermometer is necessary, due to the fact that the Akorn's thermometer is wholly inaccurate. Moreover, this thermometer allows one to pursue other responsibilities(watching Chase Elliott race :)), while being able to remotely monitor your cook. Am able to react to a minor changes in grill temp, go adjust dampers, get back to cook temp, get back to watching race. Pretty neat deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Now have used it twice and it is really nice to have the remote transmitter. My only complaint is the range is limited to maybe 60-70 ft but it beats going outside every 30 minutes to check the grill temperature.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, inexpensive wireless option (Same as Maverick ET732) I'll preface this with saying I have only used this thermometer for one cook before I started getting e-mails pestering me to rate and review my purchase, but my first cook was a 12 pound packer brisket cooked for 16 hours on a BGE, which I consider to be a good first test. Setup on the equipment was easy, though the instructions are long. The only things you need to know how to do are 1)install batteries, 2)connect probes, 3)set food high temp, 4)set grill high temp and 5)set grill low temp. I was ready to go in just a few minutes after unboxing. As far as the cook went, everything went just fine. The transmitter checks temperatures on the grill and food probes every few seconds or so and displays those on the transmitter. Once every 15-45 seconds, that information is sent to the receiver, so you may see drastic jumps in temperatures if you are heating up or cooling down the grill. Only once during my 16 hour cook did I get out of range of the transmitter with the receiver and have to go resync the connection, but the receiver never left my coffee table 50' away from the transmitter. The probes appear to be well made, and a quick check with boiling water showed them to be accurate enough for grilling. The braided wire is long enough to insert the probes and set the transmitter on a nearby table or just barely on the ground. There was a light mist during half of my cook which caused no issues with the transmitter or probes due to the weather tight construction. Overall, based on my first experience, this is a great thermometer at a better price than buying the rebranded Maverick ET732. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was the one resync that was required and the fact that I've only used it once. I will try and update this review in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is Junk This thing is the example of over engineered. But with dumb features. 1 - The transmitter needs to have the battery compartment opened with screws. While the reciever uses a slide cover. WHY? Two different departments must have designed this. 2 - The instructions are written in such a way as you do not know which set of instructions to use. The instructions might be part of a Mensa test? I tried to test this today before I somked a turkey next week. A joke. The one thing that did work was the transmitter and seem to give accurate temps for both the smoker temp and the meat temp. The reciever did not work. The reason I purchased this was so I did not have to constantly go to the smoker and monitor the temps. You can get one that does that for half the price. I will be returning it to the store tomorrow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good product Just got this and used it only once so far. Having dual probes is a great feature. I used it in my smoker where the temp of the smoker is as critical, or more, than the meat temp. This allows you to do both at the same time. The cable could be a bit longer, but it is a great product. The remote receiver is a great convenience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Probes do not work very long and can't be purchased as replaacement parts The remote units work fine but the probes quit working after about 5 months. Now I cant figure out where to buy new probes so I have useless remote units. The Char-Griller web site doesn't have these units on there for purchase or parts so I guess I'm stuck unless someone can tell me of another probe that would work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic addition for any griller! I bought the wireless remote thermometer to go with my Akorn Smoker/Grill. This thing is fantastic! It is easy to use and the directions are straight forward. I put batteries in them and plugged them into the Pork Butt I was roasting and bingo! Perfect temp in the cooker and the pork was monitored until it was done! Glad I had this or I would have probably taken the pork off to soon! The grill sensor is easy to mount and I attach mine to the grate at an angle in the back of the grill. Its out of the way of the cooking area and protected from direct heat by the heat stone. Gives a very accurate reading of the grill. The food sensor I placed in whatever I am grilling or smoking and it tells me both whenever I want to look at it! I take the remote display inside the house with me and it gives me the chance to get out of the heat (live in Florida!) and still watch the temps on my Akorn Grill! I also now use it with my gas grill. Found out my analog thermometers were way off on that grill! Glad I have these. If you are a serious or even a not so serious griller/smoker this wireless remote thermometer is for yoU! I love mine so much I bought one for my buddy as a gift. I will not cook on my grills without them now.
