Customer Reviews

Linksys Dual Band N600 Wireless USB Adapter is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy I have an older Dell XPS series with Windows 10 on it. The Belkin wireless unit I had used for years quit working when I upgraded the operating system (along with the wireless keyboard and mouse.. but that's a long story). I just moved temporarily into an apartment while I look for a new house and didn't want a LAN cable draped across the room to the router so I decided to try this wireless adapter. Plugged it in, connected to the router and working in minutes. No muss, no fuss. My only complaint is the huge size. I put it into the back of my Dell since there are only 2 USB ports on the front. It now sticks out of the cabinet 2 inches so I can't close the desk drawer and I'm afraid that the smallest mistake will smash the device and break it off. No idea why it has to be this big. I have much smaller ones for my laptops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, fast set up and so reliable. I purchased the Linksys wireless adapter to replace another product (let's just say it starts with an N and ends with an R). This other product worked for a week, conked out. After returning 3 more defective products, I ate the cost and bought the Linksys. What a difference! It set up in a few minutes, worked immediately and has not let me down yet. If you want a reliable product, buy this one, you will not be sorry!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'd pass I was expecting a simple plug in and go installation. The drivers that came with it did not work when I plugged it in to a Windows 7 x64 computer. I had to search online to find updated drivers that would work but even that took about an hour. Now my PC is slower on boot as well. C'mon Cisco. That being said, it works once installed. If you simultaneously need usb wifi and have a home depot gift card it will get you by. BTW... Zero Linux support and functionality. After an hour of reading online I got it to work once in a Debian environment but it did not work the 2nd time I booted up. I gave up running an ethernet cable each time I booted just so I could do more troubleshooting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seems to work well once I got it to work. Out of the box it did not set up like the instruction said. I spent well over an hour on the phone with a technician getting it to work. I purchased it as my old Linksys router was supposedly not working right per our ISP, and got another Linksys thinking it would be just turn it on and go. I will say that the Tech support was good. I have no experience using anything other than a Linksys so I don't have anything to compare it to. Also my old Linksys router is still working and it turns out my ISP tech was wrong so I switched ISP's.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not sure what I bought I installed the 2500 successfully, but I don't really know how to use the device or where to keep it connected. Right now it's installed in a USB in the mainframe. I thought when I installed it, I would automatically know it's working. Sorry I can'r give a better review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from as advertised I find this to be a very good value, all works as advertised. The only issue which is not the products fault is when the computer goes to sleep I have to unplug it and put it back in. I set the connection not to turn off but it does anyway. Would buy again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fail with Verizon Fios I tried two of these adapters with Verizon's Quantum Router and neither could find my network. You can't even force these things to work.
