CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Atomic #22 Feels good in the hand and looks like it will last many, many years of service. The big selling point is obviously the titanium non-stick blade. Being skeptical I had to try for myself. I coated parts of the blade with high temp enamel paint, acrylic latex caulk, polymer concrete crack repair, and silicone sealant. (see pictures) After plenty of dry time the caulking and crack repair came off with ease and the high temp paint was removed with the tip of my fingernail. However, the silicone took quite a bit of of effort to get off and would probably take a razor blade to get 100% clean. Overall I was fairly impressed by the non-stick coating, the silicone test was maybe a bit harsh, but in my mind kept this tool from getting a perfect score. September 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tough tool The Acme 6-IN-1 Titanium Nonstick Paint tool is tough, the very 1st job for this tool was to demo ceramic tile off of a wall, then prying wood trim off of cabinets, the metal pad on top took the beating of different sized and weight hammers . The handle is contoured providing great grip. The Nonstick coating held up pretty good after the demo project, I applied caulking to the paint tool letting it cure overnight it wiped right off with my fingernail. February 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High Quality Tool Once you use this one, you'll toss the others. This thing is easy to clean, stiff and no surprises. Whether it's scraping paint, laying down drywall tape or tapping down an uneven nail. It'll do it. It's very stiff, so it's great for scraping paint off of anything. The titanium non-stick finish saves clean-up time . The handle has a great, comfortable feel to it. It has a limited lifetime warranty, so you can't go wrong. January 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice tool Love the versatility of this piece. The primary use was for smoothing joint compound and pounding uneven nail heads with the butt of the tool, but I imagine it is effective at removing nails, etc. Cleans up easy due to non-stick surface. October 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Non-stick is handy The non-stick coating makes this painter's tool very easy to clean. The blade is also nice and stiff and the grip seems like it will last; the rubbery part is pretty tough and interspersed with hard plastic. Downsides: made in China, but most painter's tools probably are. The other thing is that even though billed as a "Titanium non-stick" blade, the blade must be only plated or bonded titanium, because it is highly magnetic and so must be mostly steel (maybe not even stainless steel) underneath. The labeling thus is exaggerating a little bit when it just says "Titanium" but given that it isn't much more expensive than a regular plated steel tool, that is pretty reasonable. January 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool to have in the belt! I must confess I am a sucker for tools with multiple uses so it's no surprise that I love this tool. Admittedly, I can't figure out what the "6" uses are, but so far I have used mine to scrape paint, smooth rough edges on drywall holes, apply joint filler, pull small nails and hammer (yes there is a flat, hammering edge on the butt of the handle) screw anchors. The tool weighs next to nothing, so you can forget it in your tool belt (if not for the fact that I am always using it). The blade is as hard as they come, and so far despite multiple uses mine looks brand new. January 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very handy and sturdy tool This tool is very handy. I used it to scrape off a layer of poly on cabinet doors that I had pre-moistened with paint thinner. It worked great because it has a nice fine edge for scraping. Also, there is a hole that you can use to hang it from a pegboard to keep track of it. Another nice feature is the metal on the base of the handle that can be used to hit drywall nail pops. I also used it as a drywall mud applicator. I applied the mud over the fiber taped drywall seam and then smoothed it with this painter’s tool. It worked great and made a nice smooth seam. This is a stiff, not flexible, tool that can also be used to scrape paint. There is a pointed part that can be used to get drywall mud out of a small spot that you didn’t want to cover up. This tool has a lot of features for drywall application and painting. December 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Must-have tool for painters! The ACME 6-IN-1 TITANIUM NONSTICK PAINT TOOL is almost a MUST for anyone doing any painting! It helps open the can, clean off debris and tape from the surface to be painted to ensure clear painting. And if you use a roller, the curved part really helps to get the roller clean by “stripping’ the paint under running water. Speaking of water, how many putty knives have you thrown away, or how long have you spent cleaning putty or other “junk” off your putty knives or painter’s tools? While I have not owned this long enough for rust to set in, the Teflon-like surface seems impervious to rust or corrosion. My latex paint just washed off like it never was there in the first place. Cleaning off the taping mud was even simpler; it all broke off by simply flexing the blade! At under $8.00, this tool will pay for itself in no time! January 4, 2014
