We purchased the updated model 2000 in may of 2014. Its a nice unit and easy to use. Probably used it about 6 times over the summer. We went to use it mid August and water started leaking from the bottom, big time. I assumed it was the high pressure hose judging by the other comments. It wasn't. The water intake pipe just before it goes into the main pump was completely corroded. Huge hole !
What on earth could cause that, its just cold water and not even pressurized. However, it does appear to be a cheap type of pot metal. We cant find the receipt so I guess were out of luck. Don't go near this product. The early Ryobi tools had better quality than this.

I bought this pressure washer from home depot in Madison tn less than 2 years ago. Shortly after buying it the high pressure hose split. I called home depot they couldnt help me and didn't carry the replacement hose. So I called the manufacturer was told warranty doesn't cover the hose so I ordered a replacement. Put that on and used the pressure washer for the third time. Just went out to pressure was my deck yesterday and the pump would stop running ( as it suppose to stop when not spraying) and has no pressure at all. I called manufactor and had to leave a message. Haven't heard any response yet.

The wad burst after only two years and approximately 4 uses. The brass colored metal piece inside the wand that connects to the trigger split causing water to leak.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by pattoye You should avoid this unit.
This unit seemed like a good value. However, there were a number of problems with it.
Both the gun and the hose failed within a year of getting it, and with less than 10 uses.
You MUST buy replacement parts from the manufacturer. They are NOT compatible with M22 fittings, they are proprietary.
The manufacturer has TERRIBLE customer service. They never answer the phone and take days to call you back.
And once you do get a hold of them, you find out their warranty is useless and even if it wasn't, most of their parts are out of stock with no restocking date. Meaning it can't be fixed.
I would avoid this unit at all costs.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with many of the other reviewers in that this product is junk in the grand scheme of things. I have had this for three years. I have a deck that needs power-washing once a year to get all the mildew and dirt off. It takes me about 6 hours of use to get my deck clean. I was halfway through my fourth wash today, when I moved it and water started spraying out from the inside of the unit. I am not even going to try to fix it. I am just going to trow it away -- what a waste of money.

High pressure hose blew out under ordinary use after four months [three month warranty]. Hose can not be replaced using ordinary tools -- can't even disassemble it without extra long number 2 Phillips screwdriver [which i bet you don't have -- neither do I & I'm a decent auto mechanic].
Experience showed that 1800 psi isn't enough for heavy tasks anyway; gas power @ 3000 psi is required for stubborn mildew and a second tank [for solvent or degreaser] is very desirable.
These things are ok for the sidewalk and driveway IF you manually supply degreaser or solvent but not for larger tasks such as a whole house exterior.

1. The unit worked great, until the brass trigger assembly cracked on the gun & sprang a major leak (out of warranty of course).
2. There are no replacement parts for this unit available at any Home Depot in or near my location.
3. Contacting the manufacturer (ClearForce): They have a two or three week backlog on parts ordered from the manufacturer (also with no form available on internet site to pre-order by snail mail).
4. Pre-ordering for the part(s) in question cannot be made by customer at Home Depot.
5. There are no non-manufacturer interchangeable parts available at Home Depot for this product.
