I'd recommend this product for the CORRECT CLOPAY garage door. For anyone else who may run into the issues I had here's my story:
I mistakely ordered this product thinking that it would fit MY Clopay door but when I tried to insert it into the bottom of the aluminum strip on the bottom of the door I discovered there was only one "track" into which to slide it and the seal had two "T" shaped sides which could not fit into it. It wanted 2 tracks. I got rambunctious and cut some of the "T" of each side hoping they'd both slide in. No go. Couldn't return it because I destroyed it and subsequently discovered I ordered the wrong seal. There's another seal with special sides designed to be held together and slid into the aluminum strip as one piece. HD doesn't sell it so hunted one down on the Internet.
My fault. Product would be fine for the proper CLOPAY door configuration.

My Clopay garage door seal started to wear off. I bought a replacement one at Amazon that was advertised as having 1/4" T-ends, but in reality the ends turned out to be less than 1/4" and the seal would not stay in the channel. Waste of $17. Than I ordered this one from HD and it fit perfectly. The ends are true 1/4" and stay snug in the channels. Overall, it's a high quality seal.

My house was built in 1982, and I think the seal on the door was original. It was completely flattened, extremely stiff, and worn and fraying at the ends and a couple of places. It has also bee screwed in at the ends. Once I took the screws out, it slid out easily because of how stiff it was. I can imagine why some might need to slice on with a utility knife, which I was prepared to do.
Getting the new one in was a bit trickier because it was so pliable, but once I got it started, I was able to feed it in the slots and slide it along the door without too much difficulty. Another pair of hands would have made it a lot easier, but it was still a job I could handle myself. I was able to cut off the excess with scissors. It looks and feels like a quality product.
