Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chuck Easy to install as a replacement for an older lock set
Working by myself it was not difficult to install to replace a broken roll up door lock set. Attaching the cables from the inside handle to the two interior latches was easy, and the cables appear to be well made, even though they can be cut using hand held diagonal wire cutters. Overall, this was exactly what was needed, and having several different adapters and fasteners made for a fairly easy installation.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Detwood Garage door keyed lock kit.
Be aware this kit is for doors 1 1/2"-2" thick. Had a heck of a time modifying it to fit an uninsulated sheet metal door. Overall this kit is really nice. Instructions are clear. Hardware easily identified. I like the fact you can open he latch from the inside even if outside is locked. Would buy again.

Inner handle is dumbest piece of engineering I have ever seen. For all the work that's put into the rest of it, that's really what they came up with for the inner handle?!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 42grumpy I picked a bad one.
T-handle locking feature failed day after installation. Handle can be turned to open door regardless of key lock position. Something obviously broke internally.

This worked perfectly for a replacement Clopay Garage door lock. However I didnt need most of the parts that came with the kit, I only needed the key lock assembly which I could not purchase separately, so I tossed out all the other parts I didn't need, which i feel was a waste of perfectly good parts.

Have a second garage that doesn't have room for a garage door opener and needed access from the outside.
Installation was pretty easy once holes were drilled. The only real flaw is connecting the cable to the springs. Ended up using cable clamps instead of the included screws.
The key hole doesn't slide real easy.

An old garage on our property had a broken opener. The building gets flooded with saltwater every couple of years., so we did not want to install an electric door opener. I was excited to find this kit,, & we were pleased at the quality of the components...much better than the old parts we replaced.
