Pre-drill quality could be better - Pre-punched door hinge holes were close, but often out of alignment with the hinge holes by as much as 1/8" making hinge attachment difficult. This alignment issue caused the completed stack of door panels to be out of vertical alignment by almost 3/8" in one direction with no means of adjustment. This produced a very slightly out-of-square panel stack that just barely covered a rough opening which was already well less than 8'. The lower panel gasket was improperly assembled causing the seal"s aluminum track to deform - Was able to bend it back to shape sufficiently to restore the seal. Still, it's a nice looking door once the assembly issues are dealt with.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WCM76 Nice door, great torsion spring design, reasonable DIY install.
The door panels themselves are nicely constructed and the installed door is quiet and smooth. The panels came covered in cardboard and lashed together with plastic straps. The straps left some minor abrasions on one panel, probably from someone trying to use them as a handle. Installation was largely straight forward with most screw holes pre-drilled. The installer will have to position and drill holes for such items as the handles and top panel support strut. The directions were for the most part well organized and clear (a little added detail would have been helpful concerning the support strut & garage door opener connection but on a positive note, the directions go as far as suggesting towels for your saw horses to avoid scratching the door panels). The torsion spring setup appears to employ a worm gear transmission that allows you to tension the springs with a cordless drill. It completely removes the anxiety and risk associated with winding bars. AWESOME! The only real criticism I can site has nothing to do with the doors at all. It took over 2 months from placement of the on-line order to delivery of the doors. To be fair, this was clear on Home Depot's web site from the moment the order was placed. However, as the estimated delivery date drew near, there was no communication with either Home Depot or the designated supplier. After a few phone calls to Home Depot's customer service, I was able to track down the local supplier and call them directly. It turned out they had my doors in their possession and we arranged for delivery the following Monday. God only knows how long they had my doors or when they were planning to call me. Minor irritations aside, if you can be patient regarding taking delivery and take your time with the install, you'll find the door to be handsome, quiet, and secure.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 1stGarageDoorInstall Excellent door - crummy hardware (plan on buying separately)
Be certain to READ the installation instructions! Installation is particular - perfect and simple IF you FOLLOW directions specifically with precise order of steps. Installation was otherwise straightforward and easy if steps were followed in order precisely.
I gave it 4 stars because of the "hardware" included. Hardware is very cheap - plastic and flimsy, not metal. Did not install it all because of that. We got a garage door opener instead.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Roy Ok door..Poor Customer Service
The door is OK, but if you need customer service your out of LUCK! We bought a 16 foot door that has two springs and they only sent one spring winder for the left side. I thought no problem I'll give them a call. Well, ONE WEEK LATER I received the right parts. The pony express could have gotten it here quicker. And as before, when I called customer service they didn't care. They decided it must be UPS, it doesn't matter that they didn't get it out until several days after I called. And to top it all off it was winter and we had a winter storm heading our way. My husband wasn't planning on it taking a week for parts when he started. It could have been done in one day if the parts would have been right. The quality of the door is OK. My husband has put in two for us and one for my mother and one for his mother. So he knew what he was doing. But this is the first Clopay door and the first one that came with the wrong parts. So if your going to by a Clopay door make sure all the parts are there before you start. Or you'll be stuck with a door that won't open and you can't use for at least a week, if your lucky. And if you call customer service be prepared for no one caring no matter what the problem.

Took over a month to arrive, door was strong but some pieces that came with it were cheap eg plastic rollers, had to purchase metal ones. Also it would have been good to include a lock with the door.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dkaygee All the parts needed to do the job.
The kit came with everything you need to install the door including a DVD and detailed directions. Plan ahead on this one! It took the wife and I 12 hours to install this bad boy, but it went in a lot easier than expected and the kit contained all the parts we needed including the track and EZ torsion springs.

FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS And viewed video and installed with help of grandson. It replaced an old un-insulated door that made lots of noise. Replacing the door and new lift mechanism made it all super quiet and pleased the wife very much. Garage is cooler with the insulated door versus the old un-insulated one. Very happy I did this and installed myself, the easy spring tension system was a breeze once I read and understood it well, how it would be done. It is a two person job to install and you need some experience with hand tools and able to follow and understand instructions.
