The garage door was very much what I expected. However, when I opened what appeared to be the undamaged package, there was creasing on two of the four panels. I bought two of these at the same time, and there was damage on two of the four panels on the second door also. Unfortunately, I had already removed and disposed of the old door, so I had no choice but to install the slightly damaged panels. My wife also commented on the creases, so it is not something easily overlooked.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by homefixer23 Would be a good value if in good condition - Buyer should inspect immediately upon pickup or delivery.
My rating would probably be 4 or 5 stars if there weren't severe problems with product packaging and/or warehouse handling. I originally purchase 2 of these doors about a year ago. One of them was in a box which had been opened and resealed before I picked the doors up. When I got the doors home, I discovered that it had 2 obviously damaged panels. I reported this to Home Depot which replaced the panels. Installation went smoothly except for the fact that some hardware was missing from the box; so, I used some of the hardware from the second door and postponed installation of the second door until the next year. Unfortunately, I did not thoroughly unpack the second door at the time. Had I done so, I would have discovered severe damage to 2 panels, affecting the tongue and groove inter-panel sealing joints. This was not discovered until I started to install the second door (almost a year after I took delivery). I figured that Home Depot would not replace these panels since so much time had passed; so I just bit the bullet and purchased a third door which is the subject of this review. This door had minor cosmetic damage.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tomp Doors assembled easily and were of good appearance overall
The doors were a good value and I liked the appearance. The doors are of a good design but suffer from poor workmanship overall. I received one door with several dents in a panel and am now waiting for a month for a replacement. I also noticed that all labels are applied messy and haphazardly which leaves me concerned on overall quality and other manufacturing steps which may be deficient.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AVRProject Installed it with no help.
The instructions stipulate i needed help, but with a little imagination and planning, it got done in one evening, all by myself. Yes, I can lift 300 lbs.
The Install DVD was helpful, but glommed over some of the technical details - refer to written instructions.
The written instructions were also helpful, but a couple of the pictures showed the side rails installed upside down and swapped. After a little head scratching, I had to tear them apart and put them back in the correct orientation.
The top rail alignment instruction was -- vacant. I used a framing square resting on the top panel edge and suspended it with a broom handle to point to where the top rail should end.
I was replacing barn doors with a smaller garage door, so my install didn't follow the directions. I mounted one side rail, assembled the lower door sections, then mounted the other side rail. I will frame the doorway later to seal it.
This was my first garage door 'new' installation and I must say I am impressed. I can raise and lower it using one finger.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff Easy to assemble if....
The door was very easy to install the second time. Having never installed a garage door, I tried to follow the written instructions which I found to be very lacking. After the door was together, I went home to watch the DVD that came to the door.
The next day I went back and installed the door the correct way. I would highly suggest watching the DVD FIRST!!! If you need to just refer the written instructions but you will be done a lot faster if you watch the DVD..
After the I reinstalled the door and set the springs I asked my wife to see if the door was to hard to lift. Our 3 years old ran ahead and lifted the door himself. Well I guess that answered my question.
Love the look and the easy that it opens once the springs are set.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Burl Tougher than it should have been...
I have owned a hoyse and per formed most home repais for 25 years. The replacement of a garage door should not have been so frustrating. A new installation would have been easy compared to replacement.
16 hours it is done.
1. Instructions loacated between panels...why not at end of box?
2. No reason to attach cables on first panel so early...wait until ready to install springs.
3. Garage door opener brace....do not form a brace from your own angle iron...wait until one of last steps and use one in box.
4. Instruction pictures are poor at best
5. Track will be angled top to bottom and not perfectly vertical...no mention in instructions.
6. Packaging poor...top panel dented on back side from straps....did not notice until door was hung...too late.
7. Installer should have some basic home repair skills before attempting.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ayman easy to install
other than the fact that I had to buy 2 of them cause first one was damaged and I had to return it and when I got the second one and just as I was finishing the top panel I found out that the company forgot to drill the holes in the top bracket so I had to go back to home depot and they kind drill the holes as a favor from them . I guess it Is ok for they money .

Just finished installing (2) Clopay 2050 9' x 7' three layer garage doors. I'm almost 72 years old and I expected a much longer and harder job than it turned out to be. The doors are beautiful and hopefully they are just as durable. The old doors were noisy (ball bearing, steel rollers). The plastic rollers are quiet, but will they hold up for twenty years like the old ones did?
