Nearly 2 years ago, I applied White Lithium Grease (Mfg'r Liquid Wrench) to the rails.
Now it is dry, somewhat sticky and the rails chatter. Can I apply Clopay synthetic pro lube directly over Lithium Grease or do you recommend cleaning off the old Grease ?

Answer:
Rails do not benefit from grease. The rollers roll over the surface inside of the track. Clean the track and leave it alone. You old grease is now just something in the way. This product is great for the ball bearings. But again, not the chain. WD40 DOES NOT lubricate. it cleans without leaving lubrication.

Answer:
I do not believe there will be any problem spraying over old grease or lube. Remember to lube all moving parts on the door, not just the opener.

Answer:
White lithium grease dries out and becomes extremely chalky and sticky. It's best to clean it out before you re-lubricate. The easiest way to dissolve it is to use penetrating lubricant. Spray some on and get a medium stiff bristled brush and work it. You can easily wipe the old lithium grease away with a rag afterward.

Answer:
Hello Paul,
If the old grease has become sticky it would be best to clean some of the old grease away before applying the new lube. The new lube should take a day or two to work its way throughout the garage door motor assembly. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris

Teflon is PTFE. I believe they are required to state if it has PTFE. So if it does no say it probably does not. Which could be a good thing.

Answer:
the bottle only says 'synthetic' lubricant, and gives a patent number. So it is a hush-hush trade secret. It sprays on like a transparent film, teflon-like, so likely a clone of some sort

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pro Lube is a GREAT product!!!! I use it on my garage door rails all the time! It keeps my garage door opening smoothly and closing smoothly!!! I recommend it to my family and friends! October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shut up! I saw this product while looking for door insulation, knowing how noisy my door was I got a can to try. Absolutely amazed at how well it quieted the track and rollers. Honestly all you here now is the motor on the opener. Everyone has noticed the difference. It really "shut up" all the squeaky, screeching noise. October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Product requirement Could have a longer tube with product for pin point spraying. October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ok Not too impressed. Sliding door still needs a spray often because it's hard to open. Wish formula would be stronger to not have to reapply again. October 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product to remove some creaks in your garage door Spray nozzle wasn't easy to operate. Didn't solve my particular problem because the issue turned out to be mechanical. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pro Lube For Garage Doors The product works as advertised, I would recommend this product to my friends and family. September 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This product broke my garage door! This product caused my door to stop working. My door was running a bit rough up and down. I saw this product in HD and made an impulse purchase. Immediately after spraying the product on the rollers (bearings), the door would no longer go up and down. This spray is more like a light penetrating oil than a grease. I think by applying this product, I removed whatever grease remained in the bearings causing the door to no longer work. How do I know this? After having my door stuck halfway up/down for a day, I purchased some lithium grease (aka real bearing lubricant....) http://wd40specialist.com/products/white-lithium-grease/ After apply "real grease" to the bearings, the door immediately worked and runs as smooth as it did when it was installed 28 years ago. My experience, your mileage may vary. If have an older door, I would look to another more grease-like product based on my real life experience. September 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good for Garage Doors EZ spray with this product. The brackets were the problem-all nuts/bolts loose, so check them at least 2 times a year and tighten. The spray helped to smooth out the movement of parts well. August 30, 2016
