Value Plus Series 8 ft. x 6 ft. x 6 in. 6.3 R-Value Insulated White Garage Door is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Door is of good quality . Bought this door when The bottom panel of my existing door got damaged.... Door is of good quality . Bought this door when The bottom panel of my existing door got damaged. The panels cost as quoted by Home Depot was cheaper by only $20.00 +/_ of a complete new door will all panels. Very displeased that Home Depots replacement panel was over $350.00 and a new door was only slightly more. Will not purchase from Home Depot again.

This shorter then typical garage door is stocked by some Home Depot stores and is a necessary evil for those who own homes built prior to the 70s with low headroom in many cases. Quality of the door is average or better, instructions are weak at best. Purchased two and after opening box found that one had been installed, damaged, and returned by an unscrupulous consumer that apparently purchased an additional door, stripped from the package the parts they needed and reinserted their damaged parts before returning thereby providing me with junk. Had to take door back to a different Home Depot that had one in stock and they gladly exchanged it and this time marked the door as a damaged product. The unscrupulous loser that sneaked this back into the store under the guise of a return not a damaged product provided me with great inconvenience and for that I wish you eternal tortures of the underworld. Home Depot however remedied this situation as best as could be expected and mainly the lack of 5 stars is due to the instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Door - Decent Price After reading several reviews, I found that this door is a bit better than I thought it would be. I've done carpentry projects for years, but this is the first garage door I've installed. It's very easy to install by yourself, but you may need help lifting it when it comes time to install the springs. It was installed on a rustic shop I built, and looks very nice. Probably too nice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, easy installation Product is definitely not top of the line but when going from the old wooden ones to these, they are definitely worth it. Had to return one for damage from the store. Return was seamless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from overall a good door... I purchased two of these doors, and installed both by myself. I am a contractor, so I do have some background in construction. First thing, is the instructions. Not very detailed, but with parts, and process of elimination, figuring out how it goes together was not a big problem. Installation can be done by one person. I was able to lift my door once track was installed, but two people would be much easier. First door took me about 6 hrs. second door was 3 hrs. Quality is ok. door is very light, and foam backside of door panels seem a little delicate. track assembly is a ok, but not as sturdy as track I replaced from my old door. Operation is quiet, smooth, and easy. With springs set, the door can literally be lifted with one finger. The doors look good, and I would recommend this door to anyone wanting to save a little, and get a door that looks good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should of done this sooner! I installed two of these in about 7 hours with the help from one person. We are not home builders or master tradesmen. Just two average guys with some basic knowledge. If you can work a level and drill, you can handle this. I saved over $800 doing this myself! The only thing not included with the door is the rear hanger brackets. If you are replacing a door then you can reuse the rear hangers from your old door (that's what we did). The doors also come with inside door locks (didn't know this when I bought them). You can tell they are cheaper doors but function like high end doors. They look fantastic for the price! You can't go wrong with this purchase. I would install these doors on any house I live in. One down side to mention is the installation instructions. Very hard to follow but easy to figure out what they mean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent low end garage door These are pretty light weight doors, meaning the exterior panels are thin sheet metal, the insulation is Styrofoam and the interior panel is very thin plastic. The outside will dent easily if you have kids playing b-ball, street hockey etc. near the garage. The hardware is of average quality. The rollers are plastic, they might keep the noise down, but they are not going to last like the metal ones with integral bearings. Still, the doors are nice. The are very easy to install. They are light enough that one person can manage a 9ft door on their own. Some extra screws and bolts are included which is great. The pulleys on the springs have integral guides for the safety cable, a neat feature (and don't skip installing the safety cables). They come with the bottom seal installed and its a nice one. I found them easy to adjust and they roll up and down very smoothly. These are the things that moved me from 3 stars to 4 on value. I have installed these as new installs and as replacement doors. They work fine with the existing tracks in by buildings. Just be sure to use the springs that come with the new door.
