I got a clopay door 16x7 for my garage not even a year ago and the middle of the door folded they blame it on the door opener and won't stick by there warranty I had a install guy from a door company look at it and told them what they said and he told me he dose this for a living an he don't see that even possible now I'm out all that money and all I have is a very expensive pice of scrap. Go with a pella next time they have a 25 year warranty and from past experience they stand by there products.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by solarman Nice door - easy to install - Make sure you receive all the parts before you install it
The garage door was delivered just 3 weeks after I ordered it. Unfortunately, there was some hardware missing and THAT took over two months to resolve. Once I received all of the parts, the door was pretty easy to install by following the instructions and the DVD provided by the manufacturer, CLOPAY. Make sure you have all the parts and tools ready and organized before you install the new door and give yourself the better part of a day to complete the installation. This door comes with a single torsion spring and the EZ-SET Torsion Spring system which makes priming and unwinding the spring very easy using a drill. This came in handy when I needed to unwind the spring when I noticed I needed to relocate the torsion bar for the door to clear. Although I was able to install this 16-ft door all by myself, I would recommend that you have a helper. The un-insulated door panels are not heavy, but just a bit awkward for just one person to move. Follow the instructions and use saw horses or similar supports to prepare the door panels. The tracks came with the brackets already riveted. I used them as is on my installation, but the brackets can be un-riveted and re-installed using bolts and nuts provided if necessary. Make sure you install the brackets that hold the torsion bar high enough for the door to clear as it rolls up. I used the upper holes on the vertical track/flag. If you install the slide lock, make sure you attach it the door where it won't interfere with the track when the door is open. I have no regrets buying this door. I hope yours comes with all the parts. BTW, the 16-ft strut that you need to stiffen the door at the top is bundled in with one of the 16-ft panel sections, in case you're wondering. I did not realize this and had reported it missing at first. I wound up using the extra strut on the bottom of the door for added rigidity. Also, my door came with the 21" re-inforcement bracket for attaching a garage door opener. Make sure you inventory the parts before beginning your project. I installed a new Chamberlain HD420EVP door opener with this door.

we bought this to replace a Wayne Dalton garage that was originally placed on the house, this came with all the hardware, panels and nice spring setup... The spring that came with our garage had an automatic windup mechanism on it which was our biggest concern of installing a garage door for the first time... FreeDelivery was also a big relief!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS DOOR OR THE NEXT LEVEL OF COPLAY. I see reviews are 1 or 2 years old. I bought and had installed the next level up,by home depot contractor Worked for about 4-5 years. One day it buckled a bit. I'm a good DY'ER, got it to work, got it to work for a while. Buckled again . Hinges are very cheap. You can easily bend by hand. Was trying to find new door to install myself. Found contractor , sold and installed a new door for same price as old door. full metal wrapped about 1 5/8 " thick. Hinges and brackets are 3 or 4 times the size, heavy duty all the way around, rollers, etc. I wish I good give it 0 stars.

I read the instructions first. I removed the existing 9' door and completing the Demolition work for the rest of the wall and walk through door. After installation I did see what one other reviewer stated about the door flexing. However after taking a look, I found the door wasn't really flexing but the door track itself was flexing about halfway after the door makes the bend in the track. I checked my track mounts and found them to be tight so I installed a second brace for each side of the track. After installing the second brace all flex in the track was gone. I also purchased the Genie screw type 1 HP door opener. It was very easy to install, easy to program and configure as well as mount. It did take me an entire weekend to get the door mounted, adjusted and properly rolling up and down the tracks. But that is due to my help not showing up ! I am very pleased with the install , the finished door looks great on my house. My home was built in 1984, the door makes my brick ranch look modern and updated. I like it.

Installation relatively simple. The spring instructions were a little hard to follow; could be clearer. Door works and looks good.
