Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dave Structurally unsound without external reinforcement
As stated in the installation manual, this door is not strong enough to operate on its own. It must be reinforced with external steel bars, which have to be purchased separately and mounted to the door to prevent it from ripping apart. If you don't purchase additional steel supports, Clopay will not honor the warranty. (See page 14 of manual.)

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Huey Garage Opener Bracket keeps breaking
Brace for garage door opener fastens to panel with two dimples, keeps breaking. Thin metal + small dimples = broken garage mount. First break with in 6 months of installation.
Each time it broken I switched the broken panel for good one. Just broke the third panel.
Had the door less than 3 years. Will be replacing the whole door the next few days.
My opinion Cloplay doors are junk.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hudson Super nice door
I read so many bad reviews on this door I was afraid to buy 2 of them till I saw someone who had one installed. I saw to different people who were very happy. I just installed 2 of them today. Good enough for any house unless you are someone who has to have a Mercedes instead of a Buick. They are not as strong as the doors on rental storage places but if you back through one of these it want cost so much to replace it. Easy install a helper is handy but not necessary.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sonny Damage is due to poor instalation not the door itself !
Door opener bracket does not come loose from door as long as the door is not shutting too far or too hard, and with correct spring tension. Mine has worked fine for almost 20 yrs without any external bracing or anything other than how it came from store. That said it is very cheaply made and can be easily damaged if not properly installed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AlexG5150 Is what it is
It is a garage door for under $300 don't expect more than that. Looks good, does what it is supposed to. It is lighter, flimsier material, but again it is the cheapest on market. Installed with my dad (neither are experienced) in a few hours. Better instructions, labeling would have been helpful.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by able Poor spring design
Easy enough to install by myself. Uses a twin-spring design for door opening. Unable to find the 'sweet-spot' of spring tension to keep the door fully open and also allow the door to stay fully shut. Must use the 'dead bolt-type' latch to keep door closed, but you need one on each side to keep it closed completely at each end. I would not buy this one again, instead find a door with the torsion spring at the top.
