We have this but we stop using it. This pitcher is only ideal for a couple or for one person, but not for a family with kids. You end up waiting for the water to get filtered and you have to refill a thousand times. It is better to get the bigger version if the household has more than 2 persons.

We have had this model of Brita pitcher for many years now and has never broken or cracked. It is a bit difficult to clean as there are many crevices but overall a great buy. It is only good for one to two people though as the filtering does take some time.

Why buy water when you can just filter your tap water in just a few minutes? It's a lot handier and cost a lot less. Well worth the money.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Victor Good quality water, Poorly designed pitcher
The Brita space saver pitcher does a good job when it comes to filtering the water. The taste was significantly better than the unfiltered tap water. However, the design of the pitcher has several flaws, which leads to the poor rating. First of all the lid of the pitcher which is terrible, it won't just stay attached on the pitcher and makes a mess when pouring the water. No matter how you attach it, it falls apart. The other thing is the leaking carbon from the filter, It just does not stop. Every time I pour water on the top compartment, I see the carbon filter particles leaking in the water. I know they are not harmful, but sill its not a good sight seeing them after a week's use. A definite design flaw. I would definitely not recommend buying this pitcher.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by CarterB Works well like other in the Brita product line.
This pitcher is a straightforward model. Pour in tap water and it filters it into the bottom. One filter is included. Brief instructions are also provided on how to best clean the pitcher and prepare the filter for first use (discard the first three pitchers of water to eliminate loose carbon flakes from the filter.).
An interesting addition to this model is the built in "Calendar Minder" in the lid. It tracks how many times water is poured through the spout and indicates with a flashing light if the filter is still good or if replacement is suggested. It doesn't monitor the actual volume of water poured so there is still so wiggle room for your own discretion.
Overall, the main function is still to filter water. It does that and provides a clean taste.
