Very happy with the way this piece went together and how it looks in my closet. I bought both the 12" and 16" pieces as well as two shoe racks for stacking. I have a modest walk-in and these four pieces made an amazing difference in the space. And you can't beat the price compared to custom solutions!

For my use it's turned out just fine. First thing, I am 80 years old and had no trouble building them alone. I read directions and use the right tools. That is a complaint I see a lot in reviews.
I still have some fine tuning to do. I wanted something for shelves to go on both sides of my bed. And to fill in the space between two windows. These fit perfectly. I am using the rods as curtain rods over the Windows. Still have four left to play with.
I was doing away with my night stands and I wanted a place I could keep all that "stuff" close to hand and neat.
What I use the most, a charging station for my tablets, phone and headphones. So all that is in the cube easiest to reach.
I am working on how to build a bridge between them and over the bed after I finally decide if I completely satisfied with it all. I want to live with it for awhile, then decide exactly what I need for comfort and ease. Like an easy access to a light.
When I get it all worked out in my mind I will build a padded headboard to partially fill the inside space.
I was aiming for a place to indulge my hobbies. Piled up in a comfortable bed, reading, surfing and Netflix comas. And of course, snacks close to hand.
The quality was what I expected for the price. It is after all not intended for what I am using it for. But it's fastened to the wall in several places and works fine for me.
I am pleased with the results so far. The rest is on me to work out the details

Bought two of these units to install on each side of my walk in closet, along with the shelves to put across the top for extra storage. Love the "custom closet" set up with the small price tag. I helped assemble the unit and my husband installed, both were a breeze. I'm glad I read the reviews because it gave the tip to flip the 2 upper shelves of the unit face down, so you're looking at the white backing and not the bare particle board, otherwise I would've had to paint them.

I purchased this for my daughters who share a closet. I purchased the ClosetMaid fabric drawers for the shelves. This is a nice, well made system that was simple to assemble. Very sturdy. We purchased an additional rod to double hang both sides since my girls are still small. I only rated 4 stars because the shelves aren't finished on the bottom, and it is visible. I would be willing to pay a few extra bucks to have the shelves finished on all visible sides.

We have a large walk-in closet (appx 6' x 8.5') in our master bedroom which came with the white wire shelves - but they were installed incorrectly. In order to increase our "hanging space", I purchased this item.
With the width of 8.5 feet, I was kinda worried that the rods/bars would be overextended, making them not sturdy enough. Thankfully I was worried about nothing - even fully extended, the rods/bars are very *strong*.
I actually purchased and attached one extra rod/bar for a total of four. It's nice that the rods/bars can be attached at any height desired - so if you wanted more hanging space for a baby, just add extra rods/bars at the different levels needed. Four rods/bars work perfect for us with adult-sized clothing.
I was surprised, for as much money as this cost, that the shelves weren't white on both the top and the bottom (one side is unfinished). This caused me to "flip" the two uppermost shelves so that I wouldn't have to see the unfinished sides every time I went into my closet. Yes, I'm not very tall, lol.
I was also surprised that the two dowels provided to attach the upper and lower shelves together were wood, instead of metal. I mean, for the price...
Installation was fairly easy - I did it all myself though the hubby did help with screwing the rod/bar brackets into the wall for me.
I'm thinking of purchasing another one and installing into both my children's closets, keeping the shelves separate instead of stacked, thereby making it much easier for them to reach their hanging clothes. I think the configurations are endless.

My closet was only four foot so I put shelving against the wall and used two of the bars. It worked great this way for me.
