Yes, but they rarely fit flush. Some are slightly above, and some are slightly below the tops of the side panels. I had to buy separate tops to make them look good.

Sort of. The entire cabinet (except the back) is made from high density composite board. The top is similar and is sturdy, but does not look the best. It will look better with a countertop on it.

No-- the melamine tops are sold separate and do not come with screws or mounting instructions. Not great. But we figured it out and it is a nice way to have a seamless top.

Are there adjustable feet that can be put under the cabinet?

This question is from 24 in. Freestanding Raised Panel Base Cabinet with 1-Drawer and 2-Door
Asked by
Honey Do Sam
Spring Hill, Tennessee
January 12, 2012
I looked at the cabinet in Home Depot. Some of the pictures of the base cabinets in the store had what looked like adjustable feet under the cabinet but neither I or the store associate could determine if feet were in the cabinet kit or if the feet were a hardware accessory. My garage due to some moisture issues I feel the cabinets would need to be up off the floor so air could circulate under them. Are feet available for the base cabinets?

Not built for it, but if you have a drill, you should be able to buy separately and install them. Know that the cabinet is built from press-board and so it can become fragile if there is much weight supported on one elevated (adjusted) foot.

Answer:
It does not come with feet. Home Depot (and others) carry plastic feet with a nail in end of them. They are normally in packages of 4 and come in a variety of sizes. The nail allows you to hammer in the feet. These feet will keep your furniture about 1/8" to 1/4" off the floor.
Installation is trivial.

Hi Honey Do Sam,
There were no feet for the base cabinet included in the kit. I purchased the feet that have the nail in them that you hammer in. They look like oversized thumb tacks. And will raise the cabinet off the ground about an 1/8". Unless your dead set on having adjustable feet?

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poorly made and cheap looking. I purchased two of these lower cabinets together with the melamine work top to create a uniform looking cabinet. The construction requires the use of wood glue, leaves exposed exterior screws which must be covered by stickers, and nearly every corner of each piece was damaged and the material exposed. I was forced to do my best with craft paint to camouflage the damaged areas. This is for a laundry room in Florida, I'll be shocked if they last a year. Gave two stars because the front looks nice now that it's all assembled. Assembly also required more than a basic working knowledge of furniture assembly. Go with the Home Decorators brand instead. It's far superior in quality and easy of assembly. August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Expect Quality We purchased 3 top and 3 bottom cabinets for our laundry/mud room. Cabinets arrived with damage from the manufacturer,, i.e. chips, swollen from water damage, cracks in some of the pieces. Had to make several repairs with industrial adhesive to make the cabinets work. One of my worst purchases from Home Depot. The back of the base cabinets are cardboard. August 2, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Base Cabinet Cabinet works well for the garage and has a large amount of storage room for its size August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible! I purchased this yesterday. Me and my boy friend finally finished today and nothing fits! Manufacture cut all the wood to big. Everything just overlap one another. Waste of money and time!!! Why would you sell something like this?????? August 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Wood - Excellent quality It took about 1.5 hours to assemble the 1st one - 45 minutes the second. The first thing I noticed is the weight of this cabinet; it is HEAVY. Solid wood on all sides, doors and drawer. The finish is a glossy white, that really pops. The only problem I had assembling the first one was I confused the shelf board for the top of the unit. The two pieces are VERY similar in size, but they're not. It was a simple fix that I was able to correct; no harm no foul. I would definitely recommend this unit. January 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Quality could be better! I would only recommend this product if you have tools and experience to work around things that are not quite right. I think these are ok for a garage or utility room, but not for any place where you want things that fit well. None of these cabinets fit perfectly. I purchased 5 of these. 3 of the 5 cabinets had corners damaged/broken on at least one side panel. ClostMaid does not provide adequate packaging to prevent damaged corners. Fortunately I was able to place the corners in the back, and out of sight since I installed tops on them. Also there were quite a few chipped edges and paint cracks. One of two really frustrating items is that 2 cabinets had grooves that were too narrow to accept the shelves. The bottom would not fit into the grooves at all. I had to spend an extra hour hand trimming two bottoms so I could get them to fit into the grooves. The tops had a similar issue, but rather than not fitting at all, they sit slightly above the ends of the side panel. I saw feedback in 2013 that described the same problem .... and 3 years later, I still found it in the cabinets I bought. It seems as if ClosetMaid does not or cannot purge defective stock from stores. The other really frustrating problem was with the drawer slides. They were easy to install on the cabinet cases, but really hard to install on the drawers themselves. The screw holes in the slides were narrower than the screws making it extremely hard to get the screws fully seated. I went through multiple phillips head bits to get the screws in right. There was one panel with a 3/4" diameter by 1/8" lump under the melamine finish. Fortunately I could put it on the bottom out of sight. There was a side panel with a huge chip (over 1 inch) out of it and it had been circled with a black marker. ClosetMaid shipped it anyway. I did take that cabinet back to the store. However, I just worked around the other problems because these cabinets weigh 70 pounds. It was just too much work to try to package them up again and return them - especially considering that I think there was a 50% probabiliy that I would find similar quality issues in any exchanges. I am guessing this is what most people do. Additionally, I did not like the free-standing design aspect of these that only had a single bracket at the top to prevent tip-over. I added top and bottom support boards (similar to the hanging wall cabinets) and fully secured them to the wall studs. The good news is that I was able to work around the problems, get them installed, seem pretty sturdy and functional, and look pretty good. July 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beware. Received damaged, but we were not able to assemble until it was too late to return it. Missing screws. Be prepared to assemble right away, and have to provide some of your own nails and screws. June 25, 2016
