Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ML Closet Maid cabinet
This is the 3rd Closet Maid cabinet I have. They are very easy to assemble and with a little extra help they come together well. My other 2 cabinets purchased a little will ago look just like the new one, even down to the hardware.

These cabinets on display have a very nice appearance in the store, but when assembling them we found that they have NO BACKS.
We are using these for our large indoor laundry room and our walls are a soft gray....so when you open these WHITE cabinet doors, you see the GRAY wall IN the cabinet, which tends to look very tacky.
SO I had to end up painting the exposed wall IN the cabinet a WHITE to make it seem that it did have a backing.
Would I buy these again?
No I would not.... especially since I feel that they were over priced ($91.00 apiece) for the mediocre quality.
Another weird issue with these is the covers to put over the screws were nothing by a round white paper-sticker....extremely cheap and again, tacky.
On the other hand, we did buy 4 of the freestanding (same brand) large cabinets and we are very happy with those.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MusicloverinUT Excellent addition to laundry area
The cabinet was easy to assemble, but takes two people to hang. It's heavy, but not a problem with the appropriate wall anchors. I bought it to hang in my laundry area to store laundry products and cat box items and it's perfect. I hung it over the washer, with a folding drying rack (from another retailer) hung next to it over the dryer and the area now looks much neater.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by GrandpopMark Quality could be better
Because these are relatively inexpensive, I would recommend them for utility types of environements like a utility room or a garage .... but only if you have some tools and experience and don't mind if things don't fit perfectly - because none of the cabinets fit together perfectly. Working around the quality issues wasn't easy. I purchased and installed 8 of these. The good news is that I successfully installed all of them and they don't look bad. Problems experienced:
50% of the cabinets had at least one side panel with a damaged corner. The side panels have only one layer of cardboard packaging around the corners so it's not surprising that so many get damaged. It's amazing that ClosetMaid does not put more protective packaging around the corners. Because I was installing so many, I was able to position the damaged corners at the top, in the back, and between cabinets so they were hidden from view from the floor. If I was mounting single cabinets with all sides visible, this would have been an ugly problem.
None of the tops and bottoms fit flush. The grooves were either too narrow which set the tops and bottoms slightly above the ends of the side panels or they were too wide which set the tops and bottoms slightly below the ends of the side panels. It is surprising to me that with today's available tools and technology that ClosetMaid could not cut grooves that consistently matched the thickness of the top and bottom panels. Groove width also varied on some side panels causing a slight tilt of the top or bottom.
In addition to problems with groove width, there was also inconsistency in groove depth where the last 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the groove was deeper than the rest of the groove causing a small gap at the front or back where the top and bottom panels meet the sides
The melamine edge banding was not trimmed flush enough on a few side panels.
There were clearly two versions of cabinets because some had manuals with a 2009 revision and some had manuals with a 2013 revision. The ones with the 2009 manual did not include rubber door bumpers. Also, the hinge screws for the doors were 5/8" long in the 2009 version, but only 1/2" long in the 2013 version. It did not make sense to me to use shorter screws, so I used my own 5/8" screws to supplement the 2013 version kits.
The manuals say to glue the D-F supports to the cases, but the case surfaces are all melamine. This didn't make sense to me, since woodglue won't stick to melamine. There are 8 screws holding each of these supports to the case, so it should be strong even without the glue.
Had one part E marked F, and one part F marked E.
Had brown scuff marks on the inside of one side panel that will not come off.
These are heavy cartons --by the time I got them all in my truck, got them home, unloaded them and found these quality issues, it would have been a lot of extra work to try to pack them up, and go back to the store --- with the probability that 50% of the replacements would have the same problems. So I decided I either had to accept and work around the problems or just return them all and forget the project completely. I chose to just suck up the problems and work around them. I am guessing that is what most people do.
On the positive side --- all of the doors were in good condition and look good, most of the shelves were fine, and I did not experience any missing parts. The cabinets seem fairly sturdy and I expect them to function OK. Just be careful because this is pressed wood so it's possible to overtighten screws and strip them out.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by RDB Arrived damaged, but acceptable product
The pieces to the cabinets arrived with many of the edges damaged. Some of the damaged edges were concealed once the cabinets were assembled, but many remain visible.
