Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by GrandpopMark Packaging allows damage
3 out of 5 purchased had damaged corners. One was damaged so badly that it had to be returned.
On the others, I arranged the tops so that I could cut off the damaged ends and butt them up to another top or wall so that cut end was not visible.
If I had to have both ends of each shelf visible, I would have had to return 3 out of 5.
On the good side - these are really sturdy tops and look good when installed.

Soft material, came damaged in several areas. If you are using it for a work space, I wouldn't recommend, just going to get damaged, It is very soft particle board with a trim on top that doesn't really protect much. There is also no guides or hardware for you to anchor it to anything. You get to just figure that part out on your own.

DO NOT BUY THIS. I bought it to go on top of the two closet maid base units. I got a little bit of water on it that sat there for awhile. It bubbled the top right up. It scratches VERY easy unlike the ad says.
Left a cup on there that sweated today for about an hour. I have a stain and a huge bubbled up spot.
THIS TOP IS NOT IN THE LEAST WATER RESISTANT. THE SO-CALLED MELAMINE WILL BUBBLE RIGHT UP IF YOU DON'T WIPE IT OFF IMMEDIATELY.
I got a little coffee stain on it. It will not clean off unless you take a scrunge and rub and rub...which puts big scratches in the top and it STILL won't get the stain out.
They say stain and chemical resistant...I DOUBT IT. Won't even take a little plain old water without getting wrecked!
I went to a value store and got a perfectly good real formica countertop for 10 bucks and will replace this tomorrow. This is a HUGE waste of money.
