Hi. I have a 30" vanity and a 48" vanity in my bathrooms. Would this fit under a bathroom vanity and clear the pipes in back? I'm tired of having a bathroom trash can. Thanks!

Answer:
I think it depends on the pipes, but my guess is no. We previously purchased 3 cans before finding this one that fit perfectly under our smaller sized custom cabinets. You need to measure the depth because other cans that fit our cabinets stuck out so far you couldn't close the door. Here is a pic, but if I were you, I'd look for something smaller.

That would depend on inside clearance and the height and width of the vanity door.

The width and depth should be OK but it will depend on your pipes for the height clearance.

With the units dimensions of 14.5"h, 17.5"w and 19"d, measure and see if it will clear the pipes. At only being 14.5" tall, it will fit height-wise, but you need to see how deep it can go and where the pipes come in.

The fully assembled size is 17-1/2 in. H x 14-1/2 in. W x 19 in. D and intended to be installed in cabinets with a 12 in. or wider door opening. You'll need to measure your specific cabinet/plumbing configuration.

Answer:
I would say yes by adapting a small office supply trash can and taking the general measurements of width and depth (front to back) at the top of the rails and including the height to the to of the rails many cans should fit. We adapted a regular tall Kitchen trash can to use in it and it fits almost perfectly.

I could not find a cap for this bin. i also tried if caps from some other bin fits this model, there is none that is compatible with this. I ended up changing the bin with one that had a cap and which fit the slider.
Thanks

Closetmaid does not actually sell the trash cans separately, but home depot does carry several items that would fit. Those items can be fouind on homedepot.com or at your local store.

One of the little white wheels broke. I would rather replace it than buy a whole new product at $33.

Company rep will have to answer that - but doubt replacement wheel would be easy fix. I took a look at mine, and wheels are not screwed/bolted they seem to be pressed into the frame. It might be a chore just to remove what's left of the old wheel; let alone install the new one.
Any chance you could glue plastic back together - may not roll as smoothly; but quick and easy fix.

If you or someone you know is handy, they might find a plastic wheel as same size and fashion a small nut and bolt attachment.
My guess is that any maker replacement would be the whole rack; not just the wheel.
Good luck.. Read Less

Answer:
No lid. Suppose you could make one.
I relocated an adjustable shelf to just clear the top of the bin (after sealing the particleboard bottom of that shelf); so almost a lid.
Keeping large bin in garage - using pull-out for convenience. Wouldn't put nasty stuff in there, or leave for a long time between emptying.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well for what I needed it for. Fit the bill. Didn't need the trash basket but used it for plastic bags. Slide out was heavy duty and used for solor batteries. April 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect under sink fit This can worked very well,l for what I needed. Can hide away waste can in kitchen now. Seems as though company did their homework on base cabinet sizes.Perfect fit! April 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for in a custom pantry We are using this Pullout trash can with a taller normal kitchen trash can (that we bought also at Home Depot same day and tested to fit in the display model) that fits in the frame. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is that the two frame parts that keep the can on the slider come out too easily. I fixed that problem with a couple of zip ties looped around the bottom of each frame and then around the the front and back of the rack that slides out so that the frame does not come out of the holes at all. For us it works great with a taller can that can take the normal kitchen liner and has a lid. May 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality; product failed in first month 24 QT. WHITE PULLOUT TRASH CAN After being properly installed and being used for only a few weeks, one of the wheels fell off. The wheels are riveted in place and the rivets are not very well formed. The rivet pulled out of the hole and the wheel fell off. We will be buying another model, but since this was the only model sold by Home Depot, we will be shopping elsewhere. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect garbage can, fits just right! After purchasing 3 previous under the cabinet garbage cans (and returning them bc they didn't fit) for our kitchen we finally came across this one. Although it is slightly smaller than the rest it fit perfectly in our custom cabinets which also have a lot of pipe work in them. It is sturdy, durable and was easy to install. It also doesn't require a lot of cabinet depth which made it ideal. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has kids and doesn't want a big kitchen garbage in plain sight of your kitchen!
