This product is an excellent. I used two of them in my walk-in closet. The instructions are very easy to follow, and it was easy to assemble. I put 4 drawers in each unit to make it more like a hutch. If you buy the drawers, they are also very easy to assemble and install. The one to buy (because there are 2 sizes) is the Narrow Drawer Kit for 16 in.

We decided to create a closet out of a spare bedroom and chose these products. They are sturdy pieces but the rods are not as rigid as we had hoped for. Overall we are delighted with our choices and would make them again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GreatNorthernHomeowner Good closet solution for the $$
The narrow closet kit is well made and easy to assemble. Only challenging bit for novices is hanging the clothes rods, as they need to be well anchored and level...not too hard though. Looks very nice and is a solid solution for closets. We got two - one for each wall and have lots of hanging and storage space.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TallPaul Great organizer; but you have to engineer a better anchor for clothing rod.
Bought the Narrow Closet Kit for coat closet; very happy with it. Folks, you are buying a particle board bookshelf that has a hanging rod in the package. You have to engineer a better anchor to put clothes on it; directions very simple/comprehensive. Anchor piece is plastic, AND two screws and plugs for drywall. I went to Home Depot and employee turned me onto better/heavier plugs for an additional $5. Ended up anchoring both ends of rod with heavy duty plugs/ secured unit itself to wall stud. Now I feel much better to put heavy clothing on it. It looks great. If you buy; get heavy duty dry wall plugs, and TAKE your time building it. HD sells those little parts too, previous reviewer could have gone to HD and bought plenty/better made replacement parts. ClosetMaid is best you can do for the price, and yes corners were cut in bringing this to you from China for only $118, but it looks great/Lowes altenative was over $300.

This is a nice unit and looks good. I chose this one over martha stewart because i liked how the unit was mounted to the wall.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by danny1 If you can build it - it works
This item took many hours to put together. It is made from particle board, but it does work and it looks pretty good. The brackets to attach to the wall are insufficient. I added 2 large 'L' brackets to support the main column. It's inexpensive and it works.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LindaC Looks great, quality much better than expected
I am really pleased with this product! The finish and color look richer than I expected. The trim pieces really finish it off nicely. The cabinet can be positioned in the center or you can shift it any distance to the left or right. All the parts fit together well. I was worried about the strength of the rods being attached to the cabinet, but the hardware that is included appears good and the whole thing seems very sturdy once installed. Followed all instructions to the T except that instead of cutting out a notch for the rear brackets, we traced the bracket end on the backing pieces and cut out the holes with a utility knife to fit exactly - it looks great this way. Great product for an affordable price. I also purchased a top shelf (not included in the base kit) and it looks really good, comes with matching trim, and the color matches perfectly with the base kit. You need appropriate tools for cutting the rods and optional top shelf to fit.
