Customer Questions & Answers

Can I just screw the rod into the wall or does it have to go with the shelving unit?

Asked by: ellebrownell
Use good weight bearing hardware. does not require shelving units or cabinets

Is this corner rod adjustable and if so what are the dimensions it can be adjusted to?

Asked by: Anonymous
It is not adjustable.. It fits into a cornered wall only. Each end of the rod is 18 inches to the corner of the wall.

Will this rod fit INSIDE of an Impressions corner unit (so I don't need a tower on both sides of it)?

Asked by: Jt
Yes, it fits inside the Impressions Closetmaid corner unit/shelf when attached to the wall. Again, installing it to the wall verses two adjoining cabinets was done by me and not in the ClosetMaid instructions. Please note that you still need a Impressions cabinet on each side to install the Impressions corner shelf (s) to fill or frame that 90 degree corner or space.. We used the corner shelf on top which is attached to a cabinet on each side; note the picture.

Do you have a longer corner rod bc I don't like that the cloth is out ??

Asked by: Rosie
I called ClosetMaid about that. The answer is NO. One size only

Impressions 23 in. Nickel Corner Rounder Closet Rod is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could be longer Could be 2 inches longer so it sits a bit further back. I purchased the corner kit and the bar has to be installed almost at the opening of the corner cabinet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrfiic closet solution Very happy with this product. Utilized this item in conjunction with it's counterparts (6 drawers, 3 towers with 2 straight bars, 1 shelf, 2 curved bars) to create a custom storage system for our walk-in closet. All items assembled rather quickly and easily. I was able to put together and install the entire arrangement (see picture) in less than a day. I'm very happy with quality of the product. Wood appears to be durable and the finish was a good quality. I also added the laminate flooring which was from Home Depot. Overall I am very excited for how the project came out and have had many positive comments from those who have seen it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Installed as directed left clothes sticking out of the huge corner space by just less than half t... Installed as directed left clothes sticking out of the huge corner space by just less than half the width of a hanger; A lot of space not utilized. We turned the curved rod around to the wall and attached it to the wall to find we gained minimally X3 times the hanging space on the rod and no protruding clothes. We installed the rod with a large one-step, drill in plastic anchor with metal legs that open once inside the drywall OR goes directly into wood from Home Depot - very strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solution to an "L" shaped closet!! I needed a way to handle a corner in an l-shaped closet remodel. I decided to go with a curved rod. This was perfect!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Corner closet rod I was a bit hesitant to buy this, as I was not using the rest of the closetmaid products. However, I really wanted corner closet rods to complete my "small" walk-in closet remodel, and this was literally the only one I could find. (my closet is 6' wide by 8' deep; all of the closet design tools call it small, but I've never thought of it as small). We ended up trying this out and loving it. We have double corner rods on his side and mine & both use this space for jackets and dress shirts. They don't make clear in the product description how much space this will require, but I found a shelf that installs under this rod that is 25" x 25". We thought we could save a bit of space if necessary and push the rod closer to the corner of the wall and use up only about 20" x 20" along each wall. Instead, we ended up doing almost exactly 25" x 25", mainly because it gave more space between the two shelving units that these rods attached to, thus better access to the clothing. If desired, you could also install these even further from the corner of the wall and take up more like 28" x 28"...in other words, there's a lot of flexibility in where you install them. Another concern was that we were using really nice, thick nickel closet rods for all of the straight spaces. Although these don't match, it doesn't detract a bit from my love of my closet & no one has commented on it. (I've shown my closet to every friend who will walk in there with me!!!)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Idea, inadequate support I purchased this for a master bedroom closet. I thought it a good idea to have corner closet rods to maximize the space. There are two changes that I would recommend before considering this a 5 stars review. 1. create pre-drilled holes to guarantee alignment 2. Add T-nuts and bolts for strength, all that comes with it are four 1/2" wood screws. These are certainly not adequate for supporting any closet rod, even one as short as this. If someone were to purchase the t-nuts separately, it will more than be enough to support the weight that will be added.
