Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DF Poor directions
The directions weren't very clear and none of the pieces were marked with letter on them. so when trying to build it I had to hope I was picking the right boards by just going off the pictures. It was only suppose to take an hour to build in the directions when I had bought it but took about 3 hours, since the pieces weren't labeled. Was not very happy with putting it together but it a very good shelving unit after built and very usable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SB2016 Absolutely Love This Kit!
This was exactly what I was looking for, it was a bit time consuming putting it together by myself but easy to assemble if you follow the directions. This is a very good looking kit and the finished product looks great. The wall I installed it on was 9 1/2' so this fit perfectly with the adjustable rods. Very happy with it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ClosetInstaller I just returned mine
I bought this to build out my walk in, it is poorly made particle board. The store person said I could buy brackets to hang this on the rails, he was wrong. Does not have a good way to secure to the wall from falling over, nor does it give a good way to secure the top unit. And if you have baseboard the unit stick out the thickness of the base board. I just ended up going with Wire shelves and rails

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TenorInMaine Exactly as expected
I used this as a standalone unit (as opposed to being inside a closet). The directions made for easy assembly and it came out exactly as expected and exactly as described.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MJD Very Poor Quality Product/Good Home Depot Customer Service
We ordered about $700-800 worth of ClosetMaid closet organizing products including the closet kit, drawers, top shelves, etc. About 1 out of every 3 products delivered had scratches or other damage that caused it to be returned. As part of our order, we had three closet kits. We basically had to cannibalize one of them to produce two that were useable. Same with the drawers. A final item: features available in one color aren't always available in another color e.g. Cabinet style doors are available in white but not chocolate. Go figure!
For the price, the product itself is not particularly good quality even when defect free. Once you add in the hassle of returns and re-order, looking elsewhere makes a lot of sense.
The folks at Home Depot however, especially Mathias Regist at the Palm Beach Lakes Blvd Store, were excellent.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by SadShopper Poor quality, terrible instructions, parts not marked, functional but cheep looking
Fort thing first, please mark your pieces so it is easier to assemble. Wasting time figuring out which panel is what piece. A simple sticker would take care of it.
Closet came slightly damaged from the transport. Looking that damage was on the corners that will be slightly covered by the trim, I decided to keep it and not return (It seems that my time would be more valuable than the item). Seems very flimsy and cheap, edges are glued poorly and you can see imperfections. Looks good from far away, but when you get close, you can see how cheaply it is made.

Solid and easy to assemble, should have notches at bottom for molding, this makes it stick out from the wall if you do not remove the molding on the floor.

The pieces were well packed and the assembly was easy in following the instructions. The quality is very good for the price.
