Rated 5 out of 5Â by Wtwo I built and entire walk in closet with this product line, this was just the last piece. I LOVE it!
It took me some time to figure out which pieces I wanted and how to make them work, but it's because my closet is an odd shape. I had to buy this last piece because there were no 'extra shelves' available, but even though I paid for the whole piece, I thought it was a great value for the shelves I used.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by BigDaddy Good, solid purchase.
Fairly easy to assemble. The top piece did crack because the post went in crooked because the drilled hole was crooked. I stacked two of these units and they went together very easily. Good hardware included and instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by fmpecrc Nice lines, well lmade. Tolerances are excellent. Easy to build.
Bought this piece online as local store did not carry it. It serves as one more piece to entire closet I remodeled. I think the Colosetmaid Impressions line is outstanding. I was really impressed with the tolerances and construction. I bought 5 piece upright double units and this 4 drawer/shelf dresser. Putting the drawer brackets in is bit of a pain but all it takes is patience. My closet looks absolutely great, the wife couldnt be happier and we all know that if that's true ,everybody is happy.

I bought a lot of these units in order to make two entertainment centers for two teenager bedrooms. I used the deeper units, connected side-by-side, on the bottom and added drawers. Then shallow units with shelves on top of the end units. A TV is mounted on the wall between the two end upper units. I didn't want the cost of a custom unit, so I decided to go with this. Plus, I knew if I built one myself, I'd never get around to it.
The construction is some sort of fiber board covered with a wood grain. But unlike other brands and other models of this brand, the wood grain looks great, real, and seems to be real wood veneer. It's easy to assemble. (I just recommend installing the drawer slides prior to assembling the cabinet, if you are using drawers. This way, you won't need to climb inside to install drawer slides.) These units have molding on both the sides and top edge. This not only dresses it up but makes it stronger. This is much better than similar cabinets that go together the same way but lack molding.
Use clamps to hold two adjacent units together as you put screws behind the side molding to lock two units together. This eliminates gaps.
Units become very sturdy when you put the moldings on and secure to the wall.
There are only two downsides from this compared to a high end custom solid wood unit: When you add drawers, there is a small gap between each drawer and the side of the unit (the molding) which lets the drawer slides show a bit. And, a custom unit would have a one-piece countertop, compared to there being a seam/line where two of these units are put side-by-side. But in my opinion, this is not a big deal. Great for kids rooms, basement entertainment units, lofts, and of course closets. Perhaps even for a unit in the main living area if you don't mind the drawer slides showing a little and you don't want the expense of a custom unit. We are thinking of getting more to put in our loft to make a home office.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Eddie This product is very rich looking, giving the impression of much higher cost.
The product is very easy to assemble. The assembly procedure could be improved by a more obvious labeling for the rear panel. The word "top" is labeled, but you have to look very carefully to notice it. Since this side is not seen, once installed, It could be more prominent.
