My sister and I remodeled our mother and father's closet. The closet was over 11 ft. so I had to purchase 2 Impressions 25 in. Dark Cherry Deluxe Hutch Closet Kit. Once we were finished painting the closet we started to put the Hutch together which was very challenging. Because there are extra holes in the shelving. But once we finished the first Hutch the second one was easy. Mom and Dad are very happy with new closet.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jenn pressed wood, falls apart easly
product is pressed wood so be very delicate when assembling product. it will fall apart very easy if not delicate handling assembly. even when handled delicately it may break in places. but once together it does look good if you cant see the places were the pressed wood broke apart. not worth the price though. should be cheaper.

Easy to assemble. As expected, some wood cutting of the top shelf required to give a good fit in the closet. Easy job with a table saw. Trimmed the lower part of the base with a jigsaw to fit around baseboards and get the unit to fit flush against the wall.
Edging trim is not particularly well fitted, and is a little proud of the surface, which makes it prone to catching on things. I put some painters tape over the edges to protect them while I was handling the parts.
The clothes rails are not really as rigid as they should be, and tend to sag a little when heavily loaded, but not too bad.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the result.

This closet organizer is like adding a piece of furniture to the closet. Besides looking good, it is sturdy and functional. It was easy to put together (less than one hour and I'm a girl!). We just had an appraisal on our home and this added to our value.

This package is a great starting point for a large closet or finish will a typical bi-fold closet door. I added the drawers to the bottom section. I would recommend you add the drawer sliders to the inside of the cabinet BEFORE you put the cabinet together. This has been installed for 8 months and everything still looks great and operating well! I did trim the back of the cabinet at the floor to offset the baseboard so unit rests flush to the wall. Use painters tape before cutting to protect the finish.

Yes, it took a while to put together. But if you take your time and follow the instructions (which are excellent), you will have a beautiful closet remodel. The drawers are a bit tricky. When I first slide them in place they bind for a bit, but then they open and close without difficulty. Putting 4 drawers kicks up the price by quite a bit, but it is much more useful and beautiful with them. Also, I replaced the rods with heavy duty brushed metal rods. I bought the 4 foot shelf to match, it seems like it will sag eventually so am planning on installing a decorative bracket in the middle. But the tower itself is rock solid steady. Love the cam locks!

I designed my closet on several different websites and could not justify spending between 3000 and 4000 dollars. I saw the closetmaid system and used their design tool. I modified the design and visited the store and they had all of the kits I needed in stock. The kits went together well and fortunately, I had no missing hardware. I thought it might be difficult to cut the top shelves and hanging rods, but they cut well with the right tools. I only had to modify one of the corners of my closet as I could not place a shelving unit to help anchor the corner due to a low voltage panel in my wall. We are very pleased with the turnout and have always wanted a closet remodel.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beaker Not worth the headache and I've done this before!
Bottom Line up Front - Typical DIY furniture and non existent customer service.
Details - Right off the bat, standard particle board furniture (pretty much what I expected anyway), probably a little pricey, but I can live with the cost. Directions aren't fully clear, but if you've done this stuff before, you can manage. None of the pieces are labeled, so you have to rely on past experience and the instruction diagrams to figure out which piece is which. I got to step 5 of 13 and found the bottom shelf and the sides do not line up. I thought maybe I did something wrong, so I rechecked all of my previous work. Ship shape, so I called the 800 number for customer service. I thought maybe they could help me in some way, boy was I wrong. The customer service is only open m-f, 9a-6p. Good thing I'm doing this on a Saturday morning! NOT!! So much for that. I'm now debating on whether or not to even continue the install. I'm starting to think "Just box it up and return it." I will say this much, whatever I decide to do I will not go with Closet Maid products again. It's just not worth the headache.
