My husband and I bought a home without seeing it. One of the downsides was the closet had no shelving not even wire and it is odd shaped with one angled wall. We wanted something that was sturdy looked high end but was easy on a new homeowners budget. This product met that need and after a few adjustments and swapping a few pieces (we built two of the larger bottom units from two kits on top of each other to hide the gap between the unit and the shoe rack) it turned out wonderfully. I am happy with the quality despite me initial worry when I saw the backing for the units somewhat resembeled laminated cardboard. The rest of the unit is well made and has elegant trim work! We love our new closet system.

Yes, it took a while to put together. But if you take your time and follow the instructions (which are excellent), you will have a beautiful closet remodel. The drawers are a bit tricky. When I first slide them in place they bind for a bit, but then they open and close without difficulty. Putting 4 drawers kicks up the price by quite a bit, but it is much more useful and beautiful with them. Also, I replaced the rods with heavy duty brushed metal rods. I bought the 4 foot shelf to match, it seems like it will sag eventually so am planning on installing a decorative bracket in the middle. But the tower itself is rock solid steady. Love the cam locks!

We just completed a walk in closet using the ClosetMaid system. Total cost was 900.00, which included four units, one with four drawers, and top shelving. Much cheaper than competing closet companies. Med DIY skills needed, especially if you there are any problems with the walls. We encountered a couple of bowed walls which made installing the top cabinet flush to the wall a bit tricky. We also had to design around a wall containing a pocket door (no stud to attach cabinet) and a plumbing access door. We also did not use the corner shelf. We did an L shape by installing a long shelf and then cutting a small piece of the shelving board to make the corner and connect to the wall cupboard unit. We connected it to the long shelf and stabilized it with a bracket we bought ourselves. Then mitered the trim (picture attached) All in all, I am very pleased! The unit is very tight and secure. Drawers are smooth and sturdy. Yes, it is not real wood and you have to be careful and not scratch. Use a cloth on the floor when putting it together. Pieces fit together better than any other project I have done. Go slow and take your time. Worth every effort!

I love my closet! The design we created with the different shelving components looks absolutely wonderful in the space we had to work with. The high-quality material really makes me go "Wow"! I love the color -- it feels very rich and luxurious.

I designed my closet on several different websites and could not justify spending between 3000 and 4000 dollars. I saw the closetmaid system and used their design tool. I modified the design and visited the store and they had all of the kits I needed in stock. The kits went together well and fortunately, I had no missing hardware. I thought it might be difficult to cut the top shelves and hanging rods, but they cut well with the right tools. I only had to modify one of the corners of my closet as I could not place a shelving unit to help anchor the corner due to a low voltage panel in my wall. We are very pleased with the turnout and have always wanted a closet remodel.
