Very happy with this product. Utilized this item in conjunction with it's counterparts (6 drawers, 3 towers with 2 straight bars, 1 shelf, 2 curved bars) to create a custom storage system for our walk-in closet. All items assembled rather quickly and easily. I was able to put together and install the entire arrangement (see picture) in less than a day. I'm very happy with quality of the product. Wood appears to be durable and the finish was a good quality. I also added the laminate flooring which was from Home Depot. Overall I am very excited for how the project came out and have had many positive comments from those who have seen it.

Look, it's not real wood and it's not ELFA. This is press board akin to IKEA. It may come slightly damaged. In my opinion I feel the price was slightly expensive for what you received, but my closet now looks 100x better than just putting up poles from left to right. It wasn't easy to put together for a closet that isn't standard. You'll need things like a saw, dremel (if you want it to be completely flush against the wall). Measure and cut carefully and you won't have to buy as many shelves as the creator told you to. I'm going to be honest--it looks really bad without the shelves, so make sure you get these.

I used this shelf in a closet area where I cut it to hang on either side of a shelving unit. The trim really finishes it off nicely. If it was available in longer lengths I would have purchased another one.

I put the shelves on top and above the lower hanger bars. Home Depot cut the shelves to my measurements. They look nice and function as shelves to store items.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chris Nice alternative to expensive custom closet!
I didn't have a ton of money to spend, but needed to shelve a 6 X 7 walk-in closet... I bought two of the tower kits with closet rods that extend to either side for the 7 foot walls and bought 5 of the top shelves to go around the top of the the three walls so as you walk in, it looks like a custom closet. I've had lots of compliments on it. NOTE: I had a handyman do the installation so not sure if is easy to install or not. (This photo is the left side of the closet and opposite wall is the same with a shelf across the top of the back wall as well.)

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by diyselfer You get what you pay for!
Laminate mdf board does the job but will have to see how it holds up over time. Some glue on the front edge is exposed but quickly wipes off with a dull edge putty knife. If cutting pay attention to the side you will see because the under side laminate will not cut clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYer Custom look at a DIY price
Top shelves helped increase our misc. closet storage space while adding a nice finished look. A little cumbersome to size and install by yourself however, well worth the price and labor. An extra set of hands was a big help. Measure twice and cut once...take your time. Appropriate number of support brackets for length of shelves. You will want to pick up a box of the self-tapping 50# wall anchors as they ease installation and are much sturdier than those provided (6 anchors/shelf).

This can be cut to size. Recommend you tape the cut line with painters tape so the thin finish stays clean.
