Bought one of these for my workshop to hold some of my power tools and socket sets. Easy slide out drawers and levelling legs for uneven floors. Very sturdy construction and should last a lifetime.
A good storage cabinet for almost anything around the garage or workshop.

Purchased 3 of these drawer bases for my garage. They are strudy and well designed. The only warning is that the instructions are not very clear and are VERY small print. If you have not assembled such a product in the past you might have some diffficulty. The drawer rails require a screw at their outside edge and the hole is not drilled for these screws (example of the directions being incomplete). Otherwise these drawer bases are smooth operating and offer very good value for the money compared to the alternatives I researched on-line and at other home stores.

Even after reading many negative reviews for the ClosetMaid Max Load 4 draw base cabinet, I bought this cabinet anyway ($210). I didn’t agree with most of the other reviewers. Perhaps ClosetMaid read some of the older reviews and made corrections in newer models. Being one who is comfortable putting these types of cabinets together I was successful in assembling everything so there were no issues where screws didn’t fit or hit other parts. I agree that ClosetMaid MUST do better with their directions. I too felt that the directions were missing information. The draw sliders / side panels are now made of metal and attached a little different then what’s listed. The directions also speak of “wooden dowels & glue” yet, none exist. One major problem that needs to be addressed was the screw holes on the side panels. These screw holes are for mounting the draw sliders. Because of the lack of clear diagrams, I put the left slider on the right panel, I also had the left and right panels mixed and didn’t pick up the errors until I already had the cheap cardboard backing nailed in place. There are also many extra screw holes that aren't needed and tend to confuse. After correcting this error, everything else went well.
I know that one person spoke of screws coming loose and draws coming apart. Since I’m a new customer to the Max Load product, it’s too soon to tell if I’ll have similar problems. If I do, I'll provide an update

We finally got our garage finished and added 6 maximum load storage cabinets along with the slot wall organizer. Went to Home Depot to look at what they had & planned how I wanted the garage to look. The cabinets do look really nice and go with our remodeling project. The cabinet was easy to put together - took less than an hour but, it was the last one of the 6. Only one instruction problem I put the hardware backward so, when I put the drawer on I had to change it so, it would work. Other than that everything works smooth and looks tidy. My husband was quite impressed.

I purchased 2 tall cabinets, 4 wall cabinets,a floor cabinet, and this 4 drawer mistake. The bottom drawer won't go in because the screws on the bottom hit the bottom of the cabinet, the top 3 drawers won't align because there's no way to adjust the slides on the drawer and only a slight adjustment on the side walls. So I wouldn't waste my money on this. The pre-drilled holes on the side walls also don't line up with the drawer slide so one of the screws holding it in has to be screwed in at an angle. I also had one of the wall cabinet doors that had 4 holes drilled into one door for hinges and two extra holes for the door handle. The mistaken holes had an 'X' marked in the bottom of the hole. Nice quality control ClosetMaid.

The "nylon" wheels that allow the drawers to glide in and out fall off, break easily. I was told by Closetmaid it's a discontinued item but still being sold at Home Depot

I purchased this cabinet. It was HEAVY, but that can always be deceiving. The assembly went very well - there were 2 of us putting it together. All the parts fit neatly, and the instructions were clear on assembly. The completed unit looks very nice and neat and it is EXTREMELY sturdy. The drawers handle easily and glide easily. I would highly recommend this. I will be installing the complete line in my garage.
