First of all, it is particle board construction, not solid wood. As such, you have to be conscience of how much you tighten the screws so you do not strip the wood out. Done right and secured properly, the unit is sturdy and will last a long time. Follow the instructions exactly as written and it will assemble with ease. I glued all of the joints and made some modifications to the design to acomodate the space it was used in. And I secured it a side wall as well as the back. No movement and loads of strength. Do not expect custom built quality but you can expect some nice storage options.

The shelf supports are just what you would expect. However, if you are putting a shelf at the bottom of a closet it's impossible to attach the shelf to the bracket.

It would be nice to have a picture on how to put it together. It does not seem real sturdy but I will find out

I went to closetmaid online to select my closet and it emailed me a list of the parts I would need and then I ordered them from Home Depot.

Great value for the price. Shelves are cheap but so is the price. Looks nice and was fairly easy. I liked it so much, I went and got one for each of my closets

We tried to install the shelves using this bracket but it was impossible. We did follow the directions but we were unable to use the drill that close to the wall - and the result was ruining the shelf since the screws went in at an angle and split off.
Even though we did not get the shelf up, I am unconvinced that this small of a bracket could hold enough weight for a closet topshelf anyway. We will be using a different bracket.
