I purchased several of these a couple years ago and they are sturdy, durable and well worth the money. Easy to assemble and achor inside a closet.Bought this one for a closet rebuild along with two other Closetmaid units.

Ordered this in conjunction with a shelf unit, also my Closet Maid. The two units do not match in quality or in thickness of the shelves. This unit is much heavier and easier to assemble than the shelf unit. I am overall happy with the result, however will not be purchasing more. Will go with Martha Stewart system in the future. Same price, much better quality and easier to assemble.

This is one of the nicest most inexpensive alternatives to having huge bulky dresser out taking up your living space in your bedrooms. They put to gether easily enough that a 2 year old could do it. If you can put a puzzle together then you can do this. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have moved three times in the past 3 years and each time we move into a new place, we buy this product along with the coordinating system that includes the hanging rods. It is unbelievable the amount of space it saves while making things look organized and tidy. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to improve organization while adding an easy upgrade to their home!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Moose74 Overall Great Closet Shelving
I purchased 4 of these corner units for our master bedroom closet. There are 2 on both the left and right corners, stacked on top of one another. I am seeing complaints about being particle board and not being very sturdy. While they are made of particle board, once properly assembled and mounted, they will be quite sturdy and last many years. Sure, solid wood is *better*, but will cost *exponentially* more. We have some pretty heavy items stacked up, and I am confident everything will stay put. Again, proper installation will hold the units securely in place and you will have nothing to worry about. I am currently looking into upgrading the closet in another bedroom using this same line of cabinetry.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by UnhappyCamper Not an appropriate corner unit!
This is supposed to be a corner unit. But someone at Closet Maid decided to change the design of their corner unit. Believe me, this is NOT an improvement. The prior corner shelf was just that, shelves that fit into a corner! The new design is a much larger piece. My original plan was to put a corner piece in the two rear corners of my closet. The new design is so much larger that it barely leaves enough space for the clothes rod! In fact, the new design has the shelf RECESSED behind a wall piece so that to access that portion of the shelf, one has to reach behind the wall. Really? I am extremely disappointed in this new "corner" design. I contacted Closet Maid to ask about getting the previous and much better designed unit but was informed their original corner unit has been discontinued. I chose the Selectives design as I wanted white shelves and not their Impressions dark cherry design. However, the dark cherry design still has the originally designed corner unit! Why isn't this available in white??? See the attached pictures to compare the two pieces. I will not recommend their newly designed corner unit with the curved edges to my friends and family and if you can find what you are looking for somewhere other than Closet Maid, go for it. While I do like the other pieces I chose and now have a very organized closet, the corner unit is a real thorn in my side and I hate it's design!
P.S. Per instructions, I attached 2 pictures for clarity but they don't seem to be here. What???

These things are huge. The have a ton of space and really maximize the use of your closet space. The assemble easy and are reasonably strong (i would not let my children climb on them).
As far as some of the negative reviews:
You need to understand what these are intended to be used for and then you will understand the reviews. Yes there is a small opening, they are supposed to be used in a corner where you will either have clothing rods attaching to them on two different walls or other shelves. Therefore, you must have a small corner opening. If you are not going to use it that way you should purchase the standard 25 inch shelving unit.
Also there are not extra shelves available due to the small opening, you would never be able to find anything as you would have even smaller openings.
As far as broken particle board, I assume it was damaged in the box as I have bought a ton of these and had no issues.
