these toggles do not allow heavy objects to be placed on the closet shelfs. I used wood screws and a stud finder to locate 2x4 studs. The top hanging rail has already punched wholes every 8 inches to allow using studs for mounting.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ARKG Do not purchase: Instructions error. Instruction and anchor toggle size do not work
I recommend NOT buying the ClosetMaid toggle wall anchors, primarily on principle, because the instructions are WRONG. Pay much less for reliable E-Z Ancor brand toggle anchors in the Home Depot wall anchor section on-line or in the store's hardware department. Why pay more and get erroneous instructions, which say to drill a 0.25 inch (quarter-inch) hole in the wall. Impossible to push the toggle through such a small hole as directed. The hole needs to be twice as big, 0.5 inch (half-inch). Too bad a mistake like that is being sold. Some of us have enough challenges in the dot-it-yourself world. I called the toll-free number on the package and told them the item number 2877. ClosetMaid Customer Service told me they know about the mistake and apologized. Really dumb and almost inexcusable.

Instructions on package are wrong. Says you need a 1/4 inch hole to insert, but its slightly bigger than 1/2 inch
