I needed specific shelving for my laundry room. It had to be easy to keep clean, so I chose the open wire shelf unit. It needed to have a hanger bar for hanging laundry and storing winter coats, this unit was perfect for that! My kids came over on an afternoon and within an hour had it all up and ready to use. The instructions were easy to read and there wasn't much that had to be figured out to put it up fast and easy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Raffie Went up easy enough, but, as soon as I starting hanging my blouses it came down. I used zip ties to keep the brackets secure to the shelf. I give a 10 to the zip ties and a 1 to the shelf.

The kits were all just a bit shy of what I wanted so I ended up putting together my own. It came out about $20 more expensive than the closest kit. I cut down the 80" top bracket to fit the 5' closet with 3- 60" standards. The left side is made up of the drawer kits, with the right being made up of 2 shelf/hanger sets.
Whole set came out to a little under $180.
The Top bracket was nice as it had well spaced holes that made it easy to hit studs with a drywall anchor in between. I was able to take a few inches off one end and the rest off the other so they matched up perfectly and go wall to wall with completely solid attachment.
The standards slipped into the top bracket easily and locked down tight once screwed down. I was also able to mount everything before screwing it down so I could make sure it was spaced right on the wall before fixing anything in place. I did kinda wish I'd used the Closetmaid screws so they sat flush in the holes a bit better, but the generic drywall anchors I used worked mostly fine.
The drawer kit was awesome, and as I figured it, saved me about 50% over what it would have cost to buy it in pieces. With 2 drawers and their parts it would have cost as much as the kit. The drawers are very solid once the locking clips are placed in. They seemed noisy til I actually put stuff in them which seriously muffled the noise made (between the enclosed space and all the metal, it was like working in an echo chamber putting it together.) On 60" standards, they could be spaced far enough apart so as to use both the shelf on top and the drawer at the same time.
For the right section of my closet I used 2- 4' shelf/hanger kits. They installed easily (there were a few extra parts as the kit comes ready for a bare wall install) and on the standards they hang nice and solid. The 2 kits are spaced far enough apart so that I can hand shirts on top, and pants below with room for shoes on the floor.
All in all, I'm very happy with the whole system, and plan on putting together another set for my basement utility/storage/work room, and possibly a set for my wife's closet if she decides she wants it.

This is the third closet shelving system I have installed in the house. I like them more each time. As long as you follow the instructions, you won't have any trouble putting it up. Also, it is surprisingly sturdy considering it is just made of stamped/wire steel components.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bond007 Great Product But Needs Support
This shelving is an inexpensive and well built product, HOWEVER, if it is being installed in drywall you need to attach the ends and middle (if long shelf over 4 feet) to studs. Otherwise, with anything on them other than extremely light weight objects will pull loose from the wall. So it's a good choice if you install properly. Remember, drywall is just thick cardboard, even if you have 3/4". ATTACH TO THE STUDS!!!!
