I needed some shelves to fit in a 2 foot space between my desk and wall that was just wasted space for some computer and photo equipment. I bought the 6 FT. X 16 IN. ventilated wire shelf and with bolt cutters cut it into 2 FT sections. Installing the 3 shelves was easy with the end supports on both sides and the wall clips in the back. As you can see in the picture I am now able to use the wasted space.

Really like the Closet Maid wire shelf, it's sturdy, and has a well thought out design. Used a rotary power tool to cut the wire shelf to fit in the cabinet, hacksaw would also work. Placing the shelf onto the bracket is a 2 step process. First, by tilting the shelf onto the small hooks on the bracket, and secondly by tilting the bracket between the wire on the rack of the shelf. This makes it sturdy and unmovable. So there is no need to try to balance the weight of your objects on the shelf. To give it a more finished look you could purchase the end caps. As far as weight limits are concerned I wouldn't overload a wall cabinet, you never can tell.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OliversDad had to have it cut twice - more training is needed for the employees
Needed to have some shelves cut for a linen closet (1920's house) - Had the correct measurements but the woman cutting them told me that it had to be cut a certain way due to the nature of the shelving - well, who am I to argue, she does this all day long. Long story short - I had to make a second trip to have them cut to the original specifications so that would fit - which they did beautifully.
I guess she could have been worried about them being cut short but some additional training on cutting probably would have given me the proper shelf the first time.

Installation was simple. Had shelving cut to size in the store. Hardware (bought separately) does not require screws. Looks very nice and serves the purpose.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Eddy Excellent product for linen closet shelves
The final stage of a bathroom remodel was the diy conversion of the old walk-in shower into a linen closet. The ClosetMaid system was easy to install. It is sturdy and it looks great. The six foot long shelves were cut in half and fit with no waste material. Most of all, my wife is very happy with her new storage space.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Blwreath It's a wire shelf
I'm not a fan of wire shelving, but the price is right and the flexibility of the shelf design used in conjunction with the rest of ClosetMaid's track hanging system makes it functionally acceptable.
