I wanted to try this knife as my go to for hikes in the woods, prepping kindling, and general purpose stuff. It's light weight and handy. I like the serrated part at the bottom. It makes a useful to have on you since it's small and light. They only thing I don't like is that there isn't a safety lock to keep it from opening. There is the double switch to keep it from closing, but not one for keeping it shut. I have a curious 4 year old, so I need to make sure I store it out of sight and reach. I have a place, but just an FYI for anyone with kids. Otherwise, it's a nice little knife.

This knife does the job, it isn't as flashy as some other knives I've owned, but it will get the job done. The double-lock safety is a feature I have not had in a knife before and I really liked how it works! It was intuitive and I figured it out the first time. The grip on this thing is sturdy and I could see myself using it on a hunting trip or out in the garage. It was nice and sharp when I got the tool and I haven't had to sharpen it yet (after moderate to heavy usage.) I see myself using this tool for quite a few years.

I love the grip of the knife, works very well when your hands are sweaty...blade is sturdy but not as sharp as I would have thought. To set the second lock, you must move the button on top all the way forward. To unlock move it back the press the 1st lock outwards

Well built knife features a very nice looking Pakka wood handle, which is a multi-layer hardwood impregnated with phenolic resin, making it extremely durable. The main feature of the knife is the double lock. In addition to the standard locking mechanism of today's folding knives, this one has an additional lock, to lock the lock! The knife also has a belt clip. Very nice!

Probably one of my favorite features of this is the price. Let me first say that I abuse my knifes. I use them often for several different things. This knife at this prices is relatively disposable, which is how a knife should be because you're going to dull them, and you might snap a blade or chip the tip. So far, the locking mechanism seems very sturdy on this blade. I got the wooden grip, which is real laminate, but the grip is phenomenal! The serrades are very very sharp, and the tip has a great point. Its not the best metal, but its decent. The only thing I wish that was different is I would have liked if the locking mechanism clicked into place so the user got the physical feel that the blade was locked.

This is a nice knife with a heavily diamond textured wooden grip. It looks a little like snakeskin. It's pretty slim and easy to open. You can open it with one hand, it has thumb studs on the side. It also has a belt clip.
It has a nice weight to it, and has a flat edge on top and a serrated edge on the bottom part of the blade and snaps so you know it is fully open, and also has a double lock safety switch.
The knife measures 4 3/4 X 1 1/4" when closed.
Open: 7 3/4"
Blade: 3 1/2"
Comes with a lifetime guarantee. Would definitely recommend!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vicky QUALITY KNIFE AT A LOW PRICE.
I was pleased when i received this knife. It is well made. Has a nice weight of about 3 1/2 ounces. The 4.4 inch handle is made from durable Pakka- wood with a no slip design and attached to a stainless steel frame. This makes the knife strong and durable. The 3.35 inch stainless steel blade is easy to open, giving the knife an overall length of 7.75 inches. The handle is equipped with a pocket and/or belt clip which makes it nice. No extra weight in your pocket. The double locking devise takes a few minutes to get use to, but a great part of this knife. No fear of it accidentally closing while in use. It will not close if one of the locks is dis-engaged. Both the liner lock and the thumb lock must be dis-engaged at the same time. A great knife for camping, hiking, yard work, general purpose. Great size, weight and safety.

The Coast DX312 is a solid and compact folding knife that came with a very sharp front edge (1\2 length ) and nice serrated rear edge (other 1\2 length). The double locking blade is a nice plus and the wood like corrugated aluminum handle appears durable and easy to grip.
My knife came with a stripped out pocket clip screw and switching screws didn't help as the threaded hole was also stripped. Not a big deal as i keep this inside pockets and the clip just gets in the way.
