We have 4 of these on one deck for flowers and seven on another, some for flowers and some for herbs. They work great but you need to think of the total investment in a flower box. They are at least the $15.98 listed on the website. Then you add $7+ for the flower box itself and $3+ for the tray underneath. We sometimes get some strong winds, so my wife bought a $3+ package of black tie-downs for each box. Throw in the potting soil and whatever you buy to plant in each planter and the initial cost can add up. Over the years though the only additional costs are fresh potting soil and plants/seeds(assuming everything you plant is annual or seaonal).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by rapan the only thing wrong with this product is that it is hard to find.
This product is currently not available at HD but they don't tell you that until you check out. i ordered another model from HD before i realized it was not the same as the model i bought last year which was f101-bzhd. This year's is FW2436-tbhd. When the latter arrived i could not fit it over my balcony ledge. ah ha. i finally figured out that it was not what i had from last year. If you have a balcony with a thick ledge (mine is 5 7/8" deep) the model HD has this year won't work unless you take a bolt cutter to the leveler part that leans against your balcony wall on the outside. by the way, 5 7/8" is the widest ledge the Kingston will fit.
Otherwise the model i bought last year, the Kingston Flower Box Holder (above f101-bz), which this year i had to google and buy elsewhere, is great. I didn't have to drill holes in my plaster balcony ledge. i am very pleased with it. i have three balconies and thought i could do each one in subsequent years, but since i can see that HD changes what they buy each year, i have bought enough for the remaining 2 balconies.

I purchased the Kingston Flower Box Holder and a 36" planter box for my daughter's 2nd floor apartment deck. I was a little concerned! The Flower Box Holder extended to its full length, with a planter full of potting soil & plants didn't look strong enough to hang over the side of the deck. I was SO wrong! The Kingston Flower Box Holder is a lot more sturdy than it looks. I went and purchased two more flower box holders for my front porch.

I love the look of this flower box holder however it did not support the weight of my flower box. When I placed it in the holder the brackets in the back began to bend. I had to remove the flower box. I am hoping that I can put three pots that are not so heavy in the holder. Meanwhile the flower box is on my patio. I was so hoping that after reading the other reviews that this would work. Alas, it was not to be.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Jenny i love these flower box holders!
These look more black than bronze. They also fit snugly over my 2x6 railing; i didn't even have to drill. There's an extra metal bit underneath to hold the box level. I was very surprised to find them cheaper at home depot than even Amazon.
