Woven Base Cast Iron Fire Pit is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Never drop bowl If you drop the bowl the cast iron is brittle and it breaks. Was happy with it until then.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could use stronger legs I haven't used my NEW fire pit yet but already appreciate the cast iron container in which the wood will burn since my last pit was only steel and warped over time. The price on the cast iron fire pit was one of the lower prices I found plus the woven base look makes it attractive sitting on the deck when not in use. I noticed the legs were a little flimsy while assembling so I made an "X" shaped brace out of 1/4" all thread and sleeved it with 1/2" EMT to tie them all together, Without it, I felt the legs would bend or snap off when moving it...the brace stiffened up the legs but I could have went one step further and replaced the (8) 1/2" long 10/24 mounting bolts with 1" to sandwich the leg metal to the frame metal. As it is, you have to be careful not to overtighten these while tightening the1/2" screws otherwise you may strip out the tapped holes. I feel installing 1" bolts and placing a washer & nut on top would add sufficient holding strength & prevent creating a weak spot during movement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition to our backyard fun! I am one of those people who research products for months before purchasing them. I read almost every review of all the fire pits Home Depot sells but didn't feel drawn to any of them. Too many of them had very small bowls or were too short. When I stumbled upon this cast iron pit I immediately loved 3 things about it; first, the style (I think it is very aesthetically pleasing), second, I love how deep and wide the bowl is (we are able to get a really nice fire going) and third, I like that it comes with a cover. We have used it about 6 times already and we really do love it. The mesh covering has shifted shape a bit (but every review of other pits had the same complaint), but not so much that it causes any potential danger. It was a bit more than we had allotted to spend and was a bit more than other brands/styles that seemed the same, but after testing out a few others onsite, we felt that this one was the most durable, most pleasing to the eye and the heaviest (we have 4 kids so we didn't want one that was flimsy and easily knocked over). Overall we are very happy with our new pit and look forward to many future spring, summer and fall evenings gathered around our pit as a family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Woven Base CAST IRON Fire Pit I bought this fire pit as a gift for my husband, we have been thou many fire pits in the past, the bottom after a while seems to rust out quickly, so that is why I choose a Cast Iron one this time for him. He loves it. It was money well spent. You get what you pay for. This Cast iron Fire Pit should last him a long time. Cast Iron is a lot stronger then any other fire pits then we've ever had. Plus, Anyone that has seen it now wants to run out to buy it for themselves after seeing this one. I would recommend this Woven Base Cast Iron Fire Pit to everyone! It is also well made & looks really nice as well. You will love it as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, attractive firepit. My husband got this for me for Christmas. We had looked at several in different stores, but this seemed to meet our needs. It arrived in just a couple of days, and needed only the most minor assembly. The first grate below the fire allows the wood to burn well, and the hook to remove the wire top was in excellent idea. The wire covering makes me feel easier about buring it. We live in the desert, and sparks flying around could be dangerous. This seems to have safety features that I appreaciate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy fire pit. I have owned my fire pit for 2 years and still enjoy using it. The kids and grandkids love cooking hotdogs on it. My wife enjoys the fire. It is easy to move because it comes apart in 3 parts. The cover is not water proof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal! A tad bit shorter than I thought it would be, but excellent otherwise. Now the grandchildren can toast marshmallows easily!
