I wanted an extension cord for basic jobs around home and this fit the bill. It is a 16 guage 3 pin SJTW cord which is enough for my garden string trimmer which does not warrant a heavy duty cord. The feels well built and the insulation seems to be thick which is a good thing. I am expecting the cable to hold up for few years.
For those who don't know what is SJTW:
S -- service grade, should be good with common power tools e.g. a string trimmer,
J -- voltage restriction of 300V or less,
T -- thermoplastic outer jacket,
W -- weather-resistant outer jacket, sunlight resistant and should be okay for wet conditions.

I bought this to replace a broken cord for electric garden tools. Works as intended and is easier to maneuver than the one I had before. It is lighter and thinner.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Neuf350Z Great for tools
I have a bunch of extension cords, but all of of them are too short when it comes to using them outdoors. I used this to run a dethatcher machine, a drill and a jigsaw. I didn't run into any issues, even with the dethatcher which I thought would be pushing it with this type of cord. This is a "basic power" cord, meaning you shouldn't be running anything through it that's higher than what it's rated for.
With this cord, it's rated for 10 amps max, 125 volts, 1250 watts.
The cord material seems sturdy enough to stand up to be dragged around outside. All and all, a great cord to have in your extension cord collection because you'll always find a need to use it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Greg A must have for every house
This is a pretty standard extension cord, but at 100 feet, it can reach most parts of your home. Every home needs a 100ft extension cord handy, and this one is a great value. 10 amps may seem small, but it’s more powerful than you might think.
What can you run on a 10amp extension cord? 10 amps at 120v is basically 1200 watts. You will want to estimate 80% of that as the max capacity, so just under 1000 watts. This is all fine, but what does that really mean in terms of what can you ACTUALLY run?? Here are some examples:
- 10x 100w incandescent light bulbs
- About 30 compact fluorescent bulbs
- About 100 LED bulbs
- Small room air conditioner
- Vacuum cleaner
- Hedge Trimmer
- Weed Eater
- Small refrigerator or freezer
- Cordless drill up to 1”
- Circular saw (7-1/4”)
- Electric chain saw
- 1x 150 bulb, large Christmas light strand (C9 incandescent outdoor)
- 2x 100 bulb, medium Christmas light strands (C7 incandescent outdoor)
- 20x 100 bulb, mini Christmas light strands (indoor incandescent minis)
- 200+ 50 bulb, mini Christmas light strands (indoor LED minis)
A standard home wall socket is 15 amps, so this cord should work well with every outlet in your home.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MrCraig Light 100 foot extension cord
This is a 100 foot extension cord. It is light weight and should be used for low load situations. I have used it to plug in the battery charger for my car and to run a vacuum pump to pump down an hvac system and it worked fine. It did not get hot and the devices worked well. Its orange so it is easy to find and see. If you need a light weight 100 foot extension cord this should meet your needs.

I needed this one so I can move around more in my yard with the tools that I have that are still electric. This is a basic 16 gauge outdoor cord. There are heavier cords but this one serves the purpose for most outdoor lights and tools. If you think you have equipment that needs something rated higher than 10 amps, 125 volts and 1250 watts you will need something that isn't rated general purpose.
There are cords that are the same that are more and less expensive. This price is about average. I would recommend getting a cord reel because this is a lot of cord!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FLAPJS Outdoor grounded 100ft Extension Cord
This outdoor orange cord can be used for most outdoor tasks. Connecting electric appliances or displays. It has the 3 prong grounding capability. I find it best when used with a reel to contain the wire when not in use and to keep it from getting tangled by lying loose on the ground. It is of a good weight and size needed for insuring safety when used outdoors.
