This cot is light weight & easy to set up, however it is poorly designed. With some modification it is a decent investment. To prevent the end legs from collapsing, I fastened a bungee cord (with duct tape) to the center of the end foot bar & hooked it to the corners of the bed. (I did this on both ends.) To keep the cot flat (it pops up in the middle), I inserted a 10 inch piece of rebar into the pockets of the bed fabric (parallel with the frame) & slid it up over the joint. To collapse the cot, I remove the rebar & unhook the bungee cords which can be re-hooked inside so they don't dangle once the cot is completely folded. Not an elegant solution, but simple & it works fine.

I bought this cot because it looked easy to set up for company. Well, I couldn't use it. I opened it up and it would not stay open. It would pop up in the center like a tent and I could find no way to keep it flat. I couldn't use it.

Currently I have my cot in family storage. I haven't set it up as of yet, but it appears to of been storing good over the last 4 months (storage area slightly damp at times). I bought it for seasonal Gulf Coast hurricane/emergency purposes.
