Unleash your inner craftsman and build beautiful hardwood-faced creations with this PureBond Red Oak Plywood Project Panel from Columbia Forest Products. Harvested in a sustainable manner from a domestic forest, the red oak timber used for the decorative veneers is rotary-cut to exacting standards for an exquisite hardwood appearance that works splendidly on any furniture or cabinetry piece. This 1/2 in. x 2 ft. x 2 ft. panel is comprised of 100% natural wood and assembled with a soy-based, formaldehyde-free PureBond technology that won’t subject interior environs to any toxic off-gassing, as UF-constructed panels are susceptible to do. The yellow poplar core substrate is layered in alternating cross bands with the red oak veneers, augmenting the rigidity, strength and flatness you expect from hardwood for lasting durability and enduring beauty. This 5-ply decorative plywood is a cost-competitive alternative to formaldehyde-laden panels and won't degrade the air quality of your home or business over time.

Answer:
Hello,
Would not recommend using the Red Oak for flooring. It has a thin decorative red oak layer that is not intended to be used for a floor. The intended application is for cabinets, built-ins, shelving, etc.

Hello,
The light shade is from using a clear poly satin finish. There are multiple types available. For this image we used a minwax product.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect! Very high quality plywood with no defects. Aesthetically, either side could be exposed in any application. I had only a small project to complete, for which a 2' x 2' panel was more than adequate, and less wasteful than buying and cutting down a full 4' x 8' sheet. Order turnaround was exceptional. With just standard shipping, the panel was in my hands 3 business days after placing the order. It had been drop-shipped directly from Columbia Forest Products in NC, and being in MD, I'm not terribly far away. July 12, 2016
