This cedar veneer panel is 1/4” thick, 2-feet by 4-feet. It’s light and easy to handle. It gives off a pleasant cedar aroma, which tends to repel moths. I put it in a closet on the back of a shelf so it is four-feet wide and two-feet high and taking up just 1/4 inch of space at the back of the shelf, where we store blankets and sweaters. It was simple to install, and I think it will protect our blankets and sweaters somewhat from moths, which have been a problem for us. It would be relatively simple to empty the closet, remove the shelves and apply several 1/4” x 2’ x 4’ panels to all the walls of the closet with Liquid Nails or a similar adhesive, thus making a cedar closet. When the cedar aroma has dissipated, perhaps in a few years, I will apply some cedar oil to the panel to restore it. For now, it makes our closet smell good, and I believe that it helps to repel moths.

I bought a wool sport coat some years back and it was ruined by a moth/moths before I knew it. I've been using hanging cedar blocks since then. Since I just invested in a three season wool suit and hate the smell of moth balls and didn't want to trust just the cedar blocks I decided to use cedar lining on my shelves and on the back wall of my closet. I looked at the packages of individual pieces of cedar closet lining and read the reviews and decided to go with these "handy panels" instead. Installing the panel was a breeze and I'll do the rest of the back wall of the closet soon because they smell nice and go up easily.

These are B-2 Grade Plywood that is a water-resistant compilation that tolerates moisture better than formaldehyde-bonded plywood, while the 7-ply layering makes it less likely to warp than solid hardwood. The decorative hardwood panel is assembled with a soy-based PureBond adhesive that won’t emit airborne contaminants over time, as UF-constructed plywood is prone to do.
These 2 x 4 panels are easily transported in your car. Each ships at approx #15 lbs.
The grain can be enhanced with a clear coat sealer or stain. However, they are aromatic and problably should be used unfinished in areas where you want the effect of the "Cedar".

Outstanding panels, I got 2 to make some drawer bottoms and they matched, what's odds of that?

It had a couple small unfilled knots, very small ones, but there.

I really hesitate to order plywood online because you cannot cherry-pick through the boards; so I was happy that this .5"x2'x4' board arrived in relatively good condition with no major dents and the board was not warped. But that's where my joy ends - upon closer inspection of the veneer, the voids are either not filled at all, not filled completely, or the filler isn't even the same color as the knot. It looks like a toddler filled the holes with play-dough and forgot to sand it down.
On the bright side, the grain is really beautiful and nice to look at and the cedar smell is amazing - just don't know how long that will last based on the other reviews.
I was going to make a small toy chest or storage box out of this and just seal the plywood with a clear lacquer, but I definitely can't do that with all the flaws. I really feel like my only option is to paint the sides that will be visible and just deal with the imperfections on the inside.

The cedar panel is beautiful with the wood grain colors of natural cedar. It is very lightweight & easy to haul around to where you want to install it. This would be a great accent wall or a DIY headboard attached to the wall. Having said that, it doesn't have enough of the cedar aroma I was wanting for my closet. Maybe the entire closet covered in this panel would have more of an impact with the cedar scent. I've gotten the same or more cedar aroma from cedar blocks you can buy to hang in your closet. I don't think it would repel moths for wool clothing. However, it IS beautiful to look at. So, what I wanted it for is probably not the best use in a small quantity. However, If you did a whole closet with these panels & used cedar oils or scented spry to renew the aroma, it would probably work then.
