Unleash your inner craftsman and build beautiful hardwood-faced creations with this PureBond Red Oak Plywood Project Panel from Columbia Forest Products. Harvested in a sustainable manner from a domestic forest, the red oak timber used for the decorative veneers is rotary-cut to exacting standards for an exquisite hardwood appearance that works splendidly on any furniture or cabinetry piece. This 3/4 in. x 4 ft. x 4 ft. panel is comprised of 100% natural wood and assembled with a soy-based, formaldehyde-free PureBond technology that won’t subject interior environs to any toxic off-gassing, as UF-constructed panels are susceptible to do. The yellow poplar core substrate is layered in alternating cross bands with the red oak veneers, augmenting the rigidity, strength and flatness you expect from hardwood for lasting durability and enduring beauty. This 7-ply decorative plywood is a cost-competitive alternative to formaldehyde-laden panels and won't degrade the air quality of your home or business over time.

Answer:
Hello,
Would not recommend using the Red Oak for flooring. It has a thin decorative red oak layer that is not intended to be used for a floor. The intended application is for cabinets, built-ins, shelving, etc.

3/4 in. x 4 ft. x 4 ft. PureBond Red Oak Plywood Project Panel (Custom Cut Available) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Very high quality plywood with no defects. Aesthetically, either side could be exposed in any application. I had only a small project to complete, for which a 2' x 2' panel was more than adequate, and less wasteful than buying and cutting down a full 4' x 8' sheet. Order turnaround was exceptional. With just standard shipping, the panel was in my hands 3 business days after placing the order. It had been drop-shipped directly from Columbia Forest Products in NC, and being in MD, I'm not terribly far away.

It was the perfect piece to create a new top for a very old stand-alone coat closet in the entry of our new home, circa 1865. It came sooooo well packed that there wasn't even a sliver in the wood. I'm saving the packaging box and cardboard panels for other storage. THANKS AGAIN FOR BEING THERE WITH THIS PRODUCT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Red Oak Plywood Panels Bought both 1/4" and 1/2" red oak plywood panels. Both were delivered well packed and without damage. 1/4" panel uses a foam core that crackles when rubbing your hand over it but produces a stiff, flat, lightweight panel. The 1/2" panel has wood plies. The surface finish was very smooth on both and the end result came out very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Plywood Project Panel This 3/4in.x 2ft.x4ft. Red Oak Plywood is perfect for most small projects. You can carry this size panel in the back seat or trunk. The "half sheet" panel is ideal for handling. Light weight and easy to carry anywhere. The packaging is such that the panel is well protected for shipping and handling. The edges are void free making the edges easy to sand and paint or stain. It’s a water-resistant compilation that tolerates moisture better than formaldehyde-bonded plywood, while the 7-ply layering makes it less likely to warp than solid hardwood. The decorative hardwood panel is assembled with a soy-based PureBond adhesive that won’t emit airborne contaminants over time, as UF-constructed plywood is prone to do. These panels are available in larger sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Quality Oak I ordered these to use as risers for a staircase that I rebuilt over the existing one. They worked perfectly and matched the oak stair treads that I also purchased at HD. I ordered 5 boards and there was not a defect on any of them. The quality was very good and it ended up saving me quite a bit of money by cutting these boards myself (3 risers in each board) vs. buying the risers at $18-20 each. the cost was very reasonable although you do have to pay a special shipping charge. I would highly recommend.
