If so, would it be better to put strips on bracket or directly on shade frame?

Answer:
While this is not a tested application is should work if our product is attached to a smooth sealed surface such as your wall and the bracket or the wall and the shade frame. Please also know each set of strips will hold up to 4 lbs and you can use up to 4 sets of strips for a total of 16 lbs. If you would like to discuss this with one of our team members please call 1.800.934.7355 M-F 8am-5pm CT. Thanks Read More

Answer:
Unfortunately our product will not work for a 30 lb mirror. The wall paint can only hold so much which is why this product can only allow 4 sets of strips to be used for a total of 16 lbs. We do not offer anything that can hold more weight than that but thank you for asking!

I am wanting to hang a clock in a bathroom with tiled walls. I am concerned that the combination of tile and moisture from the shower may make these not hold. Will it work?

Answer:
Thanks for your question! Our Picture Hanging Strips are water resistant, so this product should hold your clock on smooth tile, even with the moisture. However, depending on the backing of your clock, we recommend looking into our Command™ Sawtooth Sticky Nail Hanger, which works perfectly for clocks with keyhole backings: http://s.3m.com/blbG8

I have 6 pictures to hang. They weigh between 3 & 4 lbs. They are not expensive pictures. I have hung them with nails, but I want to get the strips to hang them. What kind & how many should I get?

Answer:
Thanks for asking. All of our picture hanging strips are ideal for picture and frame hanging. Each set of small strips will hold 1 lbs, medium 3 lbs, and large 4 lbs. So when using 4 sets small holds up to 4 lbs, medium 12 lbs, and large 16 lbs. So for 3-4 lb pictures you can use 3-4 small sets, or 1-2 medium sets, or 1 large set. Thanks again!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 368 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disaster I used these strips and followed the directions - in fact was overcautious and added extra strips. Something that would come back to haunt me. I was awoken two nights in a row to pictures crashing from the wall and shattering across my brand new laminate floor. The first night only left two small gouges that were barely noticeable. The second scratched the floors and now I need to replace floors that are literally days old. I decided to take the pictures down and replace them with nails. I followed the directions and the paint came off of the walls to add insult to injury. The walls were painted by the previous owners weeks ago and so now I need to replace both the floors and the paint. This product is absolute rubbish and in would not recommend it to anyone. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A must have at home! since we found this product, we never used nails again. easy to use, durable and easy to detach. highly recommend. October 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They Rock!!! I have a whiteboard that weighs approximately 12 pounds. I had no idea how to hang it on the wall as I did not want to damage the wall but even more importantly... I needed the whiteboard to lay very flat against the wall even after purchasing these and bringing them home, I thought they would never hold the weight it's been 6 weeks hot and humid and the whiteboard is firmly and I do mean firmly positioned on the wall. I recommend these to you & I will definitely use them again. June 27, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 4 pictures fell off the wall The concept for these is wonderful and 3M is known for qu lity, however, despite my following the directions to T, fter 2 yers, 4 of the items I hung, literlly dropped off the wll. One broke. So no, I m not hppy. April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by So disappointed. I used the strips to hang my grandchildren's initials on the wall. I am moving but could only get one letter off the wall without damaging the wall. Two of the letters ripped the wall board & I now have 3 letters stuck on so tight I can't get them off. I will try getting dental floss behind them to release them but I still have a wall to fix. I am more than a little annoyed. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well Works well when used correctly. I'm happy with this product. March 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Keep trying - you'll get it right some day We thought we hit the jackpot. Hung 2 canvas wrapped print photos. We used your 16lb strips to be sure. They were less than a pound each. The smaller one fell so we put it back up only to discover the sticky stuff was gone. We were glad it wasn't a glass frame. Maybe you should put an expiration date for the glue. March 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Commercial Use I'm an interior designer on staff with a commercial entity. Our end-users are somewhat transient between multiple leased office site, so the use of the hanging strips is preferred over multiple holes for various changes in décor, etc. I have learned to follow the directions "to the letter" and when applicable, because of weight, use multiple hanging strips. My best result for a damage-free wall, is to apply the strips with the pull tab at the bottom. When its time to remove, be sure you're pulling downward as close to the wall as possible, rather slowly. When following these steps, I have drastically reduced the cost to repair & repaint walls.
