No, I haven't had good luck trying to attach these to cloth (e.g. a quilt).

Answer:
Unfortunately our strips will not adhere to cloth long term because it is a breathable material that will dry out the adhesive over time. Thanks for asking!

I have a 3lb roman shade that I want to hang on our fiberglass door. Would these work for this and hold up while the blind is being pulled up or down?

Answer:
Each set of strips holds 4 lbs and you can use up to 4 sets of strips for a total of 16 lbs. While we believe it will hold the shade in place on your fiberglass door we're unsure how it would hold up with repeated changes from up to down. It would depend on how hard you pulled. If you want to try this application we would suggest using 2 sets for 8 lbs and being gentle when you are opening and closing Read More

Answer:
Thanks for your question! For this product, strips must be applied to both the wall and the frame. If you’re hanging a different frame in the same place, you can leave the strips on the wall and apply new strips to a new frame and rehang. If you have further questions or are interested in more details, please call our team directly at 1.800.934.7355. Thank you!

Answer:
Thanks for asking! Based on how you explained it our product should work for that application even though this is not what they are necessarily intended for. You could also purchase 2 of our large hooks and use a small dowel and your lightweight curtains. Whichever product you use be sure they are completely level and that weight limits and instructions are followed.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 401 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product I have hung about 30 different items over the last 8 years using 3M Command strips. All have remained secure and not one has fallen off. As written in the directions, I attach the strips to the wall and the frame and let them set for at least 1 hour before sticking the frame to the wall. Of course, once you stick a strip to the wall, you shouldn't try to peel it off and reposition it, even if you do it immediately. When it comes to removing the strips from the wall, I've never had any damage -- the product works like it's supposed to. The one exception was when my wife removed the strips, and not knowing how to remove them, just peeled them off. Still, out of 20 strips, only two caused damage when removed in this way. We do live in a dry climate, so I can't vouch for how well the product works in a humid environment. June 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disaster I used these strips and followed the directions - in fact was overcautious and added extra strips. Something that would come back to haunt me. I was awoken two nights in a row to pictures crashing from the wall and shattering across my brand new laminate floor. The first night only left two small gouges that were barely noticeable. The second scratched the floors and now I need to replace floors that are literally days old. I decided to take the pictures down and replace them with nails. I followed the directions and the paint came off of the walls to add insult to injury. The walls were painted by the previous owners weeks ago and so now I need to replace both the floors and the paint. This product is absolute rubbish and in would not recommend it to anyone. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They Rock!!! I have a whiteboard that weighs approximately 12 pounds. I had no idea how to hang it on the wall as I did not want to damage the wall but even more importantly... I needed the whiteboard to lay very flat against the wall even after purchasing these and bringing them home, I thought they would never hold the weight it's been 6 weeks hot and humid and the whiteboard is firmly and I do mean firmly positioned on the wall. I recommend these to you & I will definitely use them again. June 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A must have at home! since we found this product, we never used nails again. easy to use, durable and easy to detach. highly recommend. October 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must have for every home! I use these picture hanging strips all around my house. I love them! I especially use them in my toddler's room. He loves to climb and grab everything he can reach. I use these strips for hanging all the wall decorations. He can touch but it doesn't fall or become crooked. I have even used them in my room to hold a head board I designed out of large picture frames. It holds them tightly in place without the worry of falling down or over on us while we sleep. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Be Ready for Things to Break My wife got these command strips to hang up my diploma frame. It seemed like a good idea, and we did not have to put any holes in the wall. I had always heard that command strips were great, so I figured why not. Then one night, maybe 3 or 4 months after we had put the frame up, we had gone to bed, and I heard this loud crash. I walked out into the living room, and there was my diploma frame lying on the floor. Thankfully, it landed on the carpet, and the glass did not shatter, but my wood frame was completely destroyed. If you have ever bought a frame for your diploma, you know how expensive they are. My frame was within the weight limit at around 3.6 pounds. I would recommend not using this product, as anything you hang on these strips risks falling and being damaged, or in my case, destroyed. August 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not work. I bought a large package of these in black because I didn't want to risk damaging a home we lease. As others have mentioned my artwork cam crashing down. I even added two sets for a less than 8lb piece thinking the 16lb strength would assure it would not fall. It fell. I am sad because I really want these to work!! August 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love them! Not sure what the other reviewers' situations were, but I love Command Strips. I finally read the instructions a while back and realized you must prepare surface - I take cotton ball with a little alcohol on it. Wipe the wall. Let dry. Apply strips. Wait few min, may BE longer then hang the object. Works GREAT for me! :-) August 19, 2016
