We used the clips for a project that was promoted by command clips and the project failed miserably!! They took off the paint from the walls and we ended up doing the project with nails!!!!! Which would have saved me ten plus dollars

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed The clears adhesive does not work!
The white adhesive 3m use to use worked great, but they switch to the clear adhesive for the mini hooks and they won't stay on a painted wall. I followed the directions and waited the prescribed one hour with no luck. I just want the old white mini hooks back. At least they worked.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ANR68 These don't hold anything well!
I bought these to help with decorating for a bridal shower. We wanted to put up some extremely light weight pictures and some banners. Everything kept falling down with these hooks and we finally tossed them and used tape for the banners. Didn't hang any of the small pictures. Very disappointed in these - they were a complete waste of money!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dianaA terrible!
I bought these thinking they would be great to hang small items. Can't even get them to stick to anything. Even left them alone for 4 hours. Still fell right off. Don't know if its just a bad batch of the sticky tape, but am VERY VERY unsatisfied. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GZ42 Make replacements strips available!!
I have used these strips frequently over the years with good success - however, I have noticed that the strips for clips I've recently purchased don't adhere well to glass. An improvement there would be welcome. More importantly, like one of the reviewers below I find it very annoying that packages of just replacement strips are not available. I think one of the strengths of the Command product line is re-usability. But this is highly diminished with the decorator clips, and I am less inclined to keep purchasing them since I end up with a lot of wasted plastic. I note you indicated to the prior reviewer that replacement strips were available. However, you did not make information on how to obtain them public. If they are currently available I, and probably others, would like to know where to get them.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DebD Not like the old product
I have been using the Decorating Clips for over a decade. I decorate my brother’s dental office which has seven glass doors which I hang tinsel garland on. I also hang tinsel garland, lights, and lightweight decorations around the office. I have NEVER had a problem with the clips until this year. I’ve noticed that the sticky strips are clear where as before they were white. The white ones held on tight, sometimes too tight, and would cause damage on removal from walls. Nothing a little spackle and touch up paint couldn’t fix. These clear sticky strips have the holding power of a Post It Note. Some of them pulled off the glass doors when I hung the garland.
As I have said, I’ve used this product for many years and I know to have the surface clean and wiped off with rubbing alcohol. I put them up as directed (putting the sticky strip up first and then attaching the plastic hook) and holding for 30 seconds. I always put the hooks up the day before I decorate so they have 24 hours to cure. Well, this year had me cussing as random clips fell off and I had to reattach and wait one hour before I could rehang the garland. (I could have been done hours earlier but I had to wait.)
You have weakened the formula for the sticky strips because the old ones were almost too sticky and would cause damage if not removed properly (and sometimes caused damage if removed properly). Maybe your chemists could adjust the formula once more.
Another thing, could you make a second version of these mini clips in the vertical position? Some of the decorations I put up hang vertically and with these horizontal clips, the sticky strip sticks out on the side and looks stupid. If the clip were vertical, the sticky strip could be hidden behind the decoration.
Since you seem to be the only brand with these decorating clips on the market, I am stuck buying your product for my holiday decorating. As I stated before, this year I was not happy with this product and wasted a lot of sticky strips by having to replace them. I also wasted time having to wait an additional hour waiting for them to cure. If there is another brand out there, I will dump you in a heartbeat! I was VERY disappointed this year.
One last gripe I have – Why can’t I purchase only the sticky strips? I use over 100 clips in my brother’s office and I have to purchase many of the Value Packs of the decorating clips. That costs a lot of $$ and I throw the plastic clips away since I save the clips from year to year. I have not seen sticky strip refills for the decorating clips which would be a great idea in 50 – 100 packs. If you would sell me 200 sticky strips (without clips), I will use your product for the 2016 holiday.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by maryjobo These are perfect for my project
I bought a string of miniature lights to install under an upper cabinet on our boat. I needed a way to attach them that didn't involve putting holes in the teak. I tried some small suction cup holders that I've used on windows, but they wouldn't hold at all. Then I checked out the Command website for ideas and where to buy Command products. It took just a few minutes to put up the lights with these great little clips and if I decide I don't want them there any longer, it's easy to remove the clips with no damage to the wood. I really like that they came in a package of 40 and that they are so reasonably priced. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
