I have packages of strips that say will hold up to 16Lbs, if I use 4 (one on each corner) should that be sufficient to hold the 17 lbs?

Answer:
Thank you for asking, we test our products to hold 16 lbs indefinitely to a painted wall surface. We limit the weight at 16 lbs because that is all a properly primed and painted wall can support. Anything heavier runs the risk of pulling the paint or drywall paper off the wall. We stand behind the product being used up to 16 lbs. Thanks again.

Answer:
Thank you for asking. We would not recommend using our strips for this application. Our adhesive is not recommended for fabric or burlap but would work great on mirrors and glass as long as rubbing alcohol is used to clean the surface first. We would instead recommend one of our 3M Spray Adhesives such as our 80 Rubber and Vinyl Spray Adhesive. Thanks again!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not a reliable oroduct I have had light weight pictures that did it exceed the weight limit for the product used. I have used several types of command products in different areas of my home. These were hung up 10 months ago and 4 of them have fallen within the past 2 weeks and broken the frames. Also damaging a picture of a deceased loved one. One of the pictures was a canvas picture and it broke the outer framework of the picture. I wanted to avoid holes in my walls by using the command products. But they didn't work as promised. July 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for my office I just started at a new job, and my work area did not have any place to put the picture of my kids that I keep on my desk. My main office wall is a plaster partition; I didn't know if the structure would even support something hung from a nail. Also, the owner of the firm is planning on moving our office within the next year, so I want to limit the repair work that might be required. I used these hangers for the photo of my kids and a few hanging file pockets. About two weeks after I arrived, I got some additional storage space for my files. I removed the file pockets and the hangers and there is absolutely no sign that anything had ever been attached to the wall. Great product that works exactly as it says it will. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Damaged the wall--not even close to a clean remova I mounted a simple 8 X 10 framed certificate on my office wall a year ago with these strips, thinking I'd be able to take it down and move it later when I received more plaques to hang. I was shocked whe, despite my efforts to slowly pull the frame off the wall, it took a huge piece of drywall with it. I was able to cover it with another photo, but I can kiss my security deposit goodbye as it will take a lot of work to repair and paint the damage. This is exactly what I'd hoped this product wouldn't do. I should have gone with nails. July 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I tried to use the command strips to hang my beauty vanity lights on the sides of my mirror....i bought the ones that support up to 16 lbs...the vanity bars are very light ...the wall is lightly textured matte paint and 6 times the bars fell off....so not this does NOT work on textured walls period ! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not use! The directions say the hold up to 5 pounds and I used them for 1 or 2 pound photos. they fell off the wall in a month. All of them came down at various times. Just use a nail July 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I had lights hanging from these. I went to remove it and the paint stuck onto the command strip. Very unhappy with this product August 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy yet effective! I have been waiting about 11 months for my husband to help me put up some pictures and canvases in our house. I saw the command strips and decided to give them a try! I followed the instructions on the packet (which were quick and easy), waited an hour after application to hang my photos and they have stayed there with no problem for the last month :) I love command strips!!! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Simply Don't Work/Will Break your Frames My husband and I just moved, so have been in the process of decorating our new home. I have always been hesitant to use these products for fear of falling frames, but I thought since we had so many frames to hang that we would give them a try rather than pounding a ton of nail holes into our walls. I started with smaller to medium size frames (5×7, 8x10, etc) and to date they have held well with small and medium sized strips. It's been several weeks since we've hung them. We then decided to use the large strips to hang a couple more expensive 19x23 frames - well under the recommended size and weight capacities. After only a couple weeks the first of the frames fell and not only completely busted the frame but damaged the chair rail on the wall as the frame fell. We followed the instructions completely, so will not be using this product again for anything larger than an 8x10 or any other frame we are fond of. I would not recommend to anyone and will be returning to traditional picture hangers immediately. July 28, 2016
