The bright mode is quite bright. Dim is also quite bright. Wish I could afford many of these as they are efficient, cool and you can link them up like transformers. Also this is connected to a switched outlet. The light returns to its last state when power is restored. No direct wire option so I had to install an outlet. This is not the value minded purchase a father of 3 should have made. LoL Chicks just don't get it sometimes. :-P

Lights were fairly hard to install due to the fact that you are working on the underside of the cabinet(upside down). The 2 provided clips were very tight to slide light bar into & the clip could have been better engineered. After installing a 18 in. & 24 in. strip together with the provided clips, I decided for the next 4 installations that I would not use the clips, but use double sided tape(3M) since the led strips were very light weight. This worked exceptional well & cut the installation time by over 50%(I only hope that they stay adhered to the cabinet with this tape). The lights are a very bright white light when first turned on, but the button also allows you to push again for 50%(seemed like only a 25% to me) light reduction. A very nice feature if you like not so bright light! Overall these lights seem like a good product - a little pricey, but gives your kitchen a pleasant look...DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4PUTTEE Very unobtrusive
Everything's (except the screwdriver) in the box, so no need to scout around for screws or anything. There's a button to dim down to half intensity, and to turn it off. I wired it directly to a wall switch which means cutting off the plug. If you do the same, remember to plug it in to a wall socket just to make sure it works.
Great under cabinet lighting. Very low profile.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Randy no replacment parts & no extra light strips etc. available
Home Depot does not sell nor can you get replacement parts for this light in any length. It is designed so you can join more than one LED light strip - but to get the extra light strip & extra mounting hardware pieces you will have to purchase an entire unit. So, you then trash the electrical power box that plugs into the wall. Quite wasteful & forces the consumer to pay more than is necessary when you only need another light strip. Again, no replacement parts available - seems very short sighted for a store such as Home Depot. It is a shame since this is a nice LED light. With considerable effort I also contacted the actual manufacturer- they cannot sell replacement parts to consumers either because Home Depot will not allow. They noted Home Depot will only sell the complete light kits in the USA.
I hope HD will soon make a way that the consumer may purchase extra parts for these lights. Even by internet order would be fine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PicoDeGallo Great product
The illustration on the Home Depot website does not do this excellent product justice. I found the LED light kits by browsing LED lighting in my local store, not online where frankly they look sub-standard.
In the end, I bought five units and installed three under one kitchen cabinet and two under the other. Small brackets are installed under the cabinet with screws, the units are plugged into each other, and the complete light snaps into the brackets. The 24V power cable is attached to one end.
Like many others, I've installed under-cabinet light with double-sided tape and wound up using strong adhesives when the tape failed shortly after installation. No problem here with the metal brackets and screws.
We installed the new LED lighting as parts of a kitchen "refresh" with new cabinets; our old cabinets had halogen under-cabinet lighting so we had through-wall wiring and wall switches in place. I installed one low-profile surface-mount electrical box and connected it to the existing wiring in each cabinet for the LED power supply to plug into. I cut the wire from the LED lights and passed it through a hole into the cabinet where I soldered in a splice and covered it with heat-shrink tubing.
The wall switch controls the LED light and there is a high-low-off LED switch inside the cabinet; that switch "remembers" its last setting when the wall switch is turned on and off. The installation is clean and elegant.
Up to three 18-inch units can be joined and powered by one power supply. Since I installed five units and two power supplies, I have three spare power supplies in the unlikely event of a problem in the future.
Highly recommended even if they are a bit on the expensive side.

Easy to install. It's a bit too bright as an accent light. I wouldn't recommend it for that purpose. I put it under cabinets in the kitchen. Even the dimmer level is too high. Wish there were another, lower, setting. Tried a wall switch dimmer and that doesn't work with this product. I like the look and ease of installation.

Light was installed over the utility sink in the garage. Works great when washing the dog.

LED slim line under the counter lights in varying lengths. the only negative thing I can mention is that the power cord could have been longer or easier to adjust the length. Easy to install brackets that the lights clip into easy to add lights to increase length. I moved from hot puck lights to cool LED's.
