While just about any light "can be hardwired", it doesn't mean you should do so. These are 120 volt puck lights so "theoretically" yes.

Answer:
I think you can add lights without a transformer. I remember seeing some puck lights that were like 20 volts and needed the transformer to convert from 110 volts. These are 110 volt and can be plugged into an existing outlet or hardwired into the home electrical system using a regular light switch to turn on and off.

Answer:
These lights are 120 volt lights, no transformer needed. They can plug directly into a wall receptacle.
If you are referring to the touch dimmer unit, it is sold individually in the stores or online under SKU 150330.

Answer:
Yes. Just make sure you match up the size of the halogen bulb to the LED bulb and that they will fit.
Also make sure the LED bulbs are line voltage (120 Volt) as opposed to low voltage (12 Volt). Low voltage LED bulbs, or any low voltage bulbs for that matter, will not work.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Suitable replacement for built-in puck lights My built in puck lights (fitted into drilled holes rather than surface mounted in a wall unit) have the same number in the glass cover, (TLF FGG032 UV) so I had reason to believe that these could be used to replace a light which would no longer accept the prong on one side of the Xenon G8 bulb. Screw off the cover ring (black plastic ring with glass insert), then remove the two small phillips screws which are holding the reflector. When they are removed the base of the fixture for surface mounting can be removed / discarded and the remaining assembly matched my built-in lights. To install, clip off the wire about six inches from he fixture and splice them to the power wires in place of the original light. This kit is obsolete and overpriced in that it still includes fiery hot, short lived, worthless xenon lights. LED's are available that run cooler, last 4 to 5 times as long and they pay for themselves in about one year at my usage and electricity rates. If it weren't for the frequent changing of the xenon bulbs the original fixture probably would not have failed. August 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK The light themselves are decent, but the mounting hardware is a joke. The screws provided are too short to really bite into the bottom of a cabinet. I ended up going back to the hardware store and buying double stick tape, hopefully it will hold overtime. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Under cabinet lighting I had already installed these under my new kitchen cabinets so it is always easier installing something the second time. Actually it was pretty easy. The instructions were weak but if you have a little electrical knowledge and common sense you can figure it out. The store employee told me that there is an equivalent led replacement bulb and the halogens burn out fairly quickly. My original seven lights in the kitchen are rarely used as is the case with these that I put in a china cabinet I built in the dining room and none have failed yet. I installed light molding around the bottom edge of the upper cabinets and hides the fixtures from view. Highly recommended for a good finished look. My local store did not stock the light molding but you can find online or Cabinets To Go. There are some You Tube videos on how to make your own. December 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money Two of the pucks died after 3 months and the other one died a week after that. December 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install and very functional Purchased the set of 3 puck lights about month ago to replace existing set in display cabinet. Very easy to install --- looks and works perfectly. Great product. December 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor construction. very flimsy! The control dial is very flimsy and breaks easily. Worse, the only way to get a new one is to buy an entire new kit. The wiring is very short and can barely fit under most cabinets. October 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well Bought this to go with the six puck set for a job. Easy install. Can be flush or surfaced mount. Put them on top of some cabinetry to wash the walls/ceiling with light. Customer was happy. July 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible to install Didn't expect a fantastic product for $20. Didn't expect such a horrible installation experience. You must splice in the on off switch. No highly visible mention of that on the package. Almost microscopic heads for mounting screws. Easy to strip so be careful. Just poor, poor, poor thought into the installation process. Would give negative stars if possible. Only good point, the plug connectors are bulky but easy to connect and should not have issues down the road. September 5, 2013
