There are three different parts to the kit. The on-off switch/dimmer attaches where you want it with double-stick foam tape (3M brand!). The power cord can be shortened at the plug as the plug comes apart for this operation. The second part is the junction box. It attaches with two mini screws. A supply line from the power switch plugs into this, as do all your lights, as many as 6. The light pucks have a mounting ring that screws to the cabinets with the same mini screws. The pucks attach to the mounting rings with a twist lock (bayonet) action. There is also a supply of mini plastic staples with tiny nails for the purpose of containing your wayward wires.
Three lights come with the kit. It works with one to six lights. Read Less

Answer:
There are two 3M adhesive strips located on the back of the light controller. Note - the cord from the controller to the lights is short (~3 feet or so). You can connect one or more lights - does not seem to matter.

Screws. I don't know if the light works with two because it was broken out of the package however I would imagine it would work with just one since it SHOULD work as a draw of amps. It should work with one up to the 6 it says.

Wires are 2.5 feet and you cannot order anything from home depot. Search for 1.3mms DC extension online for multiple length options. You will need to purchase 1 each (3',6',9',12'). Good luck. Fyi the plug is 1.3mms ID and 3.5 OD. If you cut the wires you will void the warranty. If you polarity matters

The lights all plug in to a common junction box. No, they are not in series but are wired separately.
If you lengthen the light cords, use bellhangers wire, and pay attention to the polarity. LEDs operate on DC current and if you wire them backwards you will fry the LED. I did this successfully.

I don't think they are in series since you CAN run just three but it will handle as many as 6. That tells me they are parallel. I would think it would be polarized since an LED needs to be.

Answer:
There is apparently no commercially available cord extension. You can extend the wires yourself with an appropriately sized wire (bellhanger's wire) and pay strict observation to the polarity, as LED's operate on DC current and if you get the wires switched you will fry the LED. I wrote a review on my technique.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the time I bought these yesterday to flair up my dark kitchen and add to the under side of my cabinets. I was unsure about buying online without seeing any of the products face to face so I went with these guys at my local store. They are not worth the money. The cord from the puck is only 2.5 feet long...my cabinets are approximately 12 feet long. The most distance you can cover with these lights is 5ft spread. Definitely not enough to do anyones kitchen. This unit plugs into a standard outlet, then had a transformer box on a 6' power cord, and a junction box on a 3 foot cord, which you plug the pucks into. It seems messy and the dimmer/on/off knob is on the transformer which is quite large. Not easy to use. Taking it back today. July 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Work well They work great and pretty easy to install. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because I wish they had an extension wire for the pucks. They are only 3 ft and that didn't allow me to place one on the other side of my microwave without have to cut and add my own wires to extend it. But other than that they work great May 4, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by under cabnet lights With all my previous installations of under cabnet lights(many times) I would use low voltage halogen with each light being self contained. The power source could easily jump from light to light. But with the new led lights there is a common transformer and dimmer which make for a large bundle of wires and devices to try and keep out of sight with limited space under cabnets. Also there is not near enough length of wire to space lights out in most kitchens. To compinsaite required splicing wires that are of a very small gauge. February 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy! The little on/off/dimmer switch broke after a couple months, just like two other users. Cheap plastic! Otherwise, the lights were fine. March 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Switch Control Broke Had these lights for two weeks and the little round wheel which controls the on/off and dimmer functions broke off inside the controller. The light pucks themselves seemed fine, and if the controller were improved then these would be just fine. Be aware that they do not dim all the way down like regular bulbs or halogens. Also - the cord from the controller to the light connector is fairly short, so the controller needs to be place fairly close to the splitter supplying power to the pucks. December 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst product ever This product works and looks good. The problem is that the wires need to be hooked into a single junction box and the wires are only 2.5 feet long. This means that if your kitchen is more than 5 feet long you have to modify the length of the wire which voids the warranty. Home depot doesn't sell the extension cable and there customer support team has no solution to the problem. If you decide to buy this anyways you will need to buy a 1.3mm inside diameter and 3.5mms outside diameter dc extension online but don't expect home depot to sell it. Search for (1.3mm DC extension) at your favorite online store. While your there you may want to search for puck lights as well December 5, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok for the Price This is not a quality product. I looked a several stores to find LED puck lights and these looked like they would fit the bill. There should be a warning on the package that you need to keep the polarity if you splice and extend the wire. I did this and blew out the LED before I realized it was a diode and you have to watch the polarity. They don't have much bright to dim range, it is just one step from bright to about 1/2 bright. The feature of adding 3 extra lights is great. They do look nice and are working so I guess for the price we will be satisfied if they last a couple of years. We got tired of buying xenon bulbs for the old lights. . Try to find a better quality November 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would not recommend Fairly easy to install, not sure why manufacturers think the cabinets are so close together that their wiring will reach. had to extend the wires on each. Plastic Dimmer wheel broke within 3 months of use. I am now looking for another manufacturers set to replace this one. December 25, 2015
