Answer:
We had 2 installed on the ceiling above the tub, and it is about 2 feet above the shower head. The shower area is not enclosed. We have had no problems with them.

Yes, you can. I have done so and we have 20 of these in various places. All of them have been changed to GU10 LED bulbs and they work well.

Wiggins is right. I would add one thing. There are three metal pieces holding the white facing in place in the light housing. They are not clipped in place are far as I can tell - simply spring loaded against the metal inner surface of the housing. That being said, they do not come out easily. Those metal pieces are difficult to pull down as they rub against the metal (you can see how they scratched the inside of the housing when I pulled them out in the attached photo). In my case, I was worried about bending the rather flimsy clips "securing" the housing to the drywall. Luckily, they did not bend permanently, but they flexed and caused me some worry.
I did also accidentally push the bulb upward out of the two rounded metal flanges holding it in position up into the lighting housing. There was plenty of room, and then I could see how the facing clips were related to the housing then. Read Less

Answer:
To change to bulb in these can lights, First pull down the facing of the trim, the bulbs are attached to the trim peace. You then slide the bulb out of the trim peace where the metal flange is holding it in place. You then twist the bulb from the socket clockwise to remove the bulb. From there you should just reverse this process to reinstall.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 3" recessed lighting The new design of these lights are much better than the old ones. We have these lights in three of our homes and love them, they are sleek and give great light and are adjustable to high light art work or cabinets. August 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome lights! Bought a couple of these for a small remodel project in my house. Very easy to install and now I'm looking around the house where I can add some more! Great light output, better than expected! I attached a pic, but the project isn't quite completed yet. January 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome recessed lighting! We first installed these Commercial Electric 3 in. White Recessed Gimbal Kit lights in our small foyer and loved them so much that we are now installing them throughout the house! September 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great product good fit would by again for ease of installation the can lip should be larger to fit snug to ceiling February 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Lights I needed smaller sized lights since I wanted the spacing between each light to be 3', and these are perfect. They light up the room beautifully and are a perfect fit for my modern room. December 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just delightful My contractor was so impressed he's getting these for his own kitchen remodel. I love the look and everything just sparkles in the kitchen. The light bounces off the shiny things and the room is so cheery. Besides, they are very economical to run. September 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice light This light fixture is pretty easy to install, at least it is after you've practiced a bit. The wiring box is a bit small if you need to run 2 romex cables in, such as when stringing several of these together on one electric line. It'll work, but you have to be careful when stuffing in the wire and wire nuts. August 11, 2015
